• Wi-Fi network transmitting at 2.4GHz
• Apple device running iOS 9.3 or later or Android device running KitKat 4.4 or later connected to your preferred Wi-Fi network

Setup Overview

1. Connect the power adapter to the DC jack on the back of the unit and plug it into a working wall outlet.
   

2. Download the iHome AVS app from the App Store or Google Play.

3. Follow in-app instructions for account setup and to establish your speaker’s Wi-Fi connection.

4. Connect your Amazon account to enjoy the Alexa voice capability of your iAVS16.

The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirements. The device can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you pair this with other Alexa devices, such as a dot, so that you can play simultaneous music through both devices?

The iAVS16 and Amazon devices share many of the same features. In addition to having Alexa voice assistant technology, it also has echo spatial perception (ESP), Follow-up mode, Wake to Amazon Music, and much more.

Can you charge an I watch ?

The iAVS16 has a 1 Amp USB port to charge mobile devices.

After the initial setup thats done with wifi, will this function as an alarm clock without wifi?

The iAVS16 must be connected to WiFi at all times in order to utilize Alexa functions which include the alarm clock.

Can you pair phone through alexa via Bluetooth?

The iAVS16 is Bluetooth-compatible.

Does this have am and fm stations?

No. Get an app for that to stream through the speaker.

Does this use the amazon alexa app for set-up, or does it have it's own app (probably based on muzo)?

It has its own app for initial setup, but you also need to download the Amazon Alexa app to get full functionality.

Does it waterproof come with it?

The iAVS16 is not a portable unit. It must be plugged into the AC adapter at all times and is NOT waterproof.

Do you have to have Alexa already or it’s built in?

We apologize for the delayed response. We have been very busy since the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. Great news! The iACS16 has Alexa built right in.

Does it support multiple alarm times as Echo does?

Yes. The alarms are voice-activated through Alexa just like the Echo.

Clock doesn't set automatically, tried several locations in the house-any advice?

iHome clock sets the time from your router so what ever time your router is set to this is the time the iHome will automatically set to providing you have already selected a time zone in the iHome AVS app.

Will it work with SirusXM?

The iAVS16 app and firmware were just updated to wake to streaming audio such as iHeartRadio and Spotify in addition to the built-in wake-to tones. SiriusXM is not supported at this time.

Does the device have an ethernet connection?

No, it operates only on Wi-Fi.

How do you set the time?

It auto-sets based on your location via the WiFi connection.

Can you use the alexa on the iavs 16 as an intercom?

The iAVS16 is not manufactured as an intercom.

Does the alarm have a backup power source like batteries in case the power goes out?

No. The iAVS16 does not have battery backup.
