Product Usage Instructions
Before installing any parts of this intake system, please read the instructions thoroughly. Verify the contents of this intake kit before disassembling your vehicle.
DO NOT INSTALL IF ANY PARTS ARE MISSING OR DAMAGED.

Installation requires moderate mechanical skills. A qualified mechanic is highly recommended.
Do not attempt to install the intake system while the engine is hot.
This installation may require the removal of coolant lines that may be hot.
Please read carefully before installation! This installation is not for the novice customer. Install this system with EXTREME caution! Misuse of this product can destroy your engine! If you are not well versed in the installation of intakes and if you are not mechanically inclined, please have a tuner shop install this kit.

Getting Started
- Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. If the engine has run within the past two hours, let it cool down.
- Lift and remove the engine cover from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical harness connector.
- Loosen the hose clamps securing the intake tube from the air box and the throttle body. Then, disconnect the hose clip attached to the intake tube.
- Depress the hose clamp to disconnect the crank case breather hose from the stock intake tube.
- Remove the factory clips securing the engine bay cover.
- Unclip the four retaining clips securing the upper air box assembly and remove the covers from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical harness clip from the upper air box.
- Remove the upper air box assembly from the vehicle by disconnecting the air box from the intake tube.

GETTING STARTED

Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. If the engine has run within the past two hours let it cool down.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable erases pre-programmed electronic memories. Write down all memory settings before disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some radios will require an anti-theft code to be entered after the battery is reconnected. The anti-theft code is typically supplied with your owner’s manual. In the event your vehicles’ anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles anti-theft code. We also highly recommend NOT discarding any stock parts after the installation. -
Lift and remove the engine cover from the vehicle.

Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical harness connector.

Loosen the hose clamps securing the intake tube from the air box and the throttle body. Then, disconnect the hose clip attached to the intake tube.

Depress the hose clamp to disconnect the crank case breather hose from the stock intake tube.

Remove the factory clips securing the engine bay cover and remove the covers from vehicle.
-
Unclip the four retaining clips securing the upper air box assembly.
-
Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical harness clip from the upper air box.
-
Remove the upper air box assembly from the vehicle by disconnecting the air box from the intake tube.
-
Disconnect the stock intake tube from the throttle body and remove it from the vehicle.
-
Remove the two 10mm bolts securing the lower air box assembly.
-
Remove the 10mm bolt securing the factory air duct and remove the air duct from the vehicle.
-
Disconnect the remaining clips securing the MAF sensor electrical harness from the lower air box assembly and remove the lower air box from the vehicle.
-
Install the reducer coupler along with the provided T-bolt clamps onto the throttle body.
-
Disconnect the bolt securing the air horn bracket.
-
Install the M6 x 6mm thick .0 between the Heatshield bracket onto the air horn mounting hole. Secure the bracket using the M6 x 20mm bolt and washer provided in the hardware kit.

Install the thin edge trim onto the air duct opening of the heatshield and the bubble edge trim onto the outer edge of the heatshield.

Install and secure the vibration mount using a washer and nut onto the heatshield.
-
Re-install the factory air duct into the vehicle. Then i nsert the HPS heatshield and secure the vibration mount to the heatshield bracket.

Install the factory mass air flow sensor onto the HPS i ntake. Secure the sensor using the provided M4 x 8mm bolts.

Install the remaining reducer coupler onto the other end of the HPS intake pipe and insert the intake pipe into the throttle body coupler.

Insert the velocity stack into the intake coupler and secure the velocity stack to the heatshield with the provided M6 x 12mm bolts and washers. Position the i ntake pipe to the proper position and tighten all the t-bolt clamps securing the intake pipe to the couplers.

Re-insert the crank case breather hose onto the HPS i ntake barb.

Re-connect the mass air flow sensor harness connector.
-
Install the provided HPS performance air filter.
-
Reinstall the factory engine bay covers back onto the vehicle.
Final Steps
Once the intake has been positioned and checked for clearance, tighten all of
the clamps and secure all of the parts.
Upon completion of the installation, reconnect the negative battery terminal before you start the engine. Double check to make sure everything is tight and properly positioned before starting the vehicle. Start the engine. Let the car idle for 3 minutes. Perform a final inspection before driving the vehicle. Listen carefully for any odd noises, rattles and/or air leaks prior to taking it for a test drive. If any problems arise go back and check the vacuum lines, hoses and clamps that may be causing leaks or rattles and correct the problem. Periodically, recheck the alignment of the intake system and make sure there is proper clearance around and along the l ength of the intake. Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures may cause damage to the intake and will void the warranty.
