General Information

Overview
The MPPT Solar Charge Controller is designed to optimize the performance of your solar system. It utilizes advanced MPPT technology with an efficiency of up to 98%. The controller operates at 12/24VDC and automatically identifies the system voltage. The LCD panel display provides real-time operating data and working condition information. The controller supports three charging lead-acid battery options: Sealed, Gel, and Flooded. It also features a battery temperature compensation function and offers multiple load work modes.

General Safety Information
When installing the controller, make sure to mount it indoors to protect it from exposure to the elements and prevent water from entering. Ensure that power connections are tight to avoid excessive heating caused by loose connections. It is recommended to install appropriate external fuses or breakers. If connecting an inverter, connect it directly to the battery and not to the load terminal of the controller. If the display is not functioning, immediately cut off the fuse or circuit breaker and verify the line connection.

Maximum PowerPoint Tracking Technology
The MPPT charge and discharge controller utilizes the MPPT control algorithm to accurately track the maximum power point (MPP) of the photovoltaic array. General Safety Information
  • Mount the controller indoors. Prevent exposure to the elements and do not allow water to enter the controller.
  • Power connections must remain tight to avoid excessive heating from a loose connection.
  • It is suggested to install appropriate external fuses/breakers.
  • If the system needs to connect the inverter, please connect the inverter directly to the battery, and do not connect with the load terminal of the controller.
  • If the display is not displayed for the first time, please cut off the fuse or circuit breaker immediately and check whether the line is connected correctly.

Maximum Power Point Tracking Technology
This is a MPPT charge and discharge controller, With MPPT control algorithm, in any situation, products of this series can fast and accurately track out the best maximum power point (MPP) of photovoltaic array, in order to obtain the maximum solar energy in time, which remarkably improves energy efficiency the maximum conversion efficiency can reach 99.5%; the maximum power point tracking is automatically traced, the charging efficiency is increased by 10% to 30% (compared with the controller without maximum power point tracking), with high efficiency/energy efficiency/intelligence.

Battery Charging Stage

The controller have 3 stages charge mode, Constant Current Charging, Constant Voltage Charging and Floating Charging for rapid, efficient, and safe battery charging.

  • Constant Current Charging (Bulk Charging)
    In this stage, the battery voltage has not yet reached constant voltage (Equalize or Boost Voltage), the controller operates in constant current mode, delivering its maximum current to the batteries (MPPT Charging).

  • Constant Voltage Charging( Equalize and Boost Charging)
    When the battery voltage reaches the constant voltage set point, the controller will start to operate in constant voltage charging mode, in this process the charging current will drop gradually. Constant Charging has 2 stages, equalize and boost. These two stages are not carried out constantly in a full charge process, and its boost charging is start at the 25th of each month.

  • Floating Charging
    After the constant voltage stage, the controller will reduce the charging current to maintain the battery voltage on the Floating Voltage set point. Charging the battery with a smaller current and voltage on the Floating Voltage stage, while maintaining full battery storage capacity.

In Floating charging stage, loads are able to obtain almost all power from the solar panels. If loads exceed the power, the controller will no longer be able to maintain battery voltage in the Floating charging stage. If the battery voltage remains below the Recharge Voltage, the system will leave the Floating charging stage and return to Bulk charging stage.

Installation Instructions

Installing wires, first, loosen the screw counterclockwise + –

  • Prepare complete installation tools, materials + – and cable. Please match suitable cable.
  • ensure that the current density is <4A/mm2 This will help reduce the line pressure drop. Check the installation site meets the relevant safety requirements, and avoid damp, dusty, flammable, explosive, and corrosive gases
  • Install the controller fixed to the vertical plane, see Section V mounting aperture and hole spacing. In order to ensure good controller cooling conditions, the controller on the bottom of each reserved 10cm space
  • As shown on the right wiring sequence: load, battery, solar. The battery plate is connected to the controller to be taken to ensure that the load, battery. The polarity of the solar cell panel and controller.
  • Warning: to prevent accidents (high pressure or high temperature), non-professionals can not engage in loading and unloading operations.
  • Be very careful when installing the batteries, especially flooded lead-acid batteries. Please wear eye protection, and have fresh water available to wash and clean any contact with battery acid.
  • Keep the battery away from any metal objects, which may cause a short circuit of the battery.

Set to 00H, said that under the light control mode, after dark (dusk) open load; after dawn (Dawn) load to stop working. Set to: 24H represents the load has been open until the battery voltage protection automatically disconnects the load; Setting time: 01h to 23 hours, indicating the working hours corresponding to the optical control mode of the load opening
