Product Information
The Zumex Juice Machine is a high-performance juicing machine designed for commercial use. The machine is easy to use and maintain, ensuring optimal hygiene conditions for food safety. The following are detailed instructions for cleaning and maintaining the Zumex Juice Machine to ensure its longevity and performance.
Cleaning Instructions
For a correct cleaning process, please follow the instructions below.
Caution: Before getting started, make sure that the machine is unplugged
from general switch.
- Remove the feeder plate by unscrewing the central knob. Then clean the feeder base with a wet cloth.
- Press the front buttons until both parts of the cover are released.
- Remove juice tray and PulpOut in one step.
- Place on a surface and remove the PulpOut from the tray.
- Remove filter.
- Remove the tap pressing softly both sides.
- Remove the peel buckets.
- Remove the front cover.
- Unscrew the central knob of the 1Step Extraction Kit.
- Remove the 1Step Extraction Kit by pulling it towards you with the stainless-steel handles.
- Assemble the blade protector and then remove the blade by pulling the handle towards you.
- Clean the front part of the machine with a soft sponge.
- Remove the anti drop tray and the filter.
- In case of podium models, clean the hopper with a soft sponge.
- Take out the waste bin and clean inside the podium, making sure that there is no rest of pulp and peels.
The cleaning process will be explained in details for each one of the machine’s components below.
Cleanliness and hygiene warnings.
Zumex recommends cleaning the machine at least once or twice a day, depending
on how much it is used in order to maintain optimal food hygiene conditions.
- All the parts, except from the cover and the tap can be put in a dishwasher to clean them.
- Cleaning of the extraction area and any of its removable parts must be done with a sponge. Do not use scouring sponges that could scratch the surfaces.
- Use a degreaser product for food use to be able to easily remove all traces of pulp and adhering wax. It is necessary to sanitize with a disinfectant product after each cleaning.
- Rinse with plenty of water after sanitizing, in order to remove any remaining disinfectant.
Replacing parts.
For quick cleaning in the middle of the day, we recommend having a kit with
spare parts. This Kit is made up of: a cover, 1Step Extraction Kit, Juice
container and Filter.
Daily cleaning
Blade, tap, juice container, filter, drip tray, feeder plate and front cover
- Clean piece by piece, by hand or in the dishwasher. *Check the recommendations regarding parts that can be washed in the dishwasher (page. 2)
- Clean the feeding plate in the dishwasher or with a soft sponge to remove the remaining particles still stuck to it.
- Clean the cover with a soft sponge to avoid damaging the material. Rinse with plenty of water.
Extraction Kit
For a quick cleaning, clean the 1Step Extraction Kit assembled in a single piece under a tap or in a dishwasher.
- Clean the entire assembly with a sponge and soap in a single piece under a tap. Move the pressing units around to make sure that they are completely clean.
- The assembly can also be washed in a single piece in a dishwasher.
Cleaning instructions for components
PulpOut System
- Place the PulpOut system on a smooth surface, place your fingers on the inside of the sweeping belt roller and push it outwards to release it.
- Pull out the sweeping belt together with the other roller and remove both parts.
- Clean all the parts with a sponge and soap, rinse after with clean water. All the parts can also be washed in a dishwasher.
Recommended cleaning instructions
Midday Cleaning
Cover, 1Step Extraction Kit, Juice container, filter and tap
- Press the front buttons until both parts of the cover are released.
- Remove juice tray and PulpOut in one step.
- Remove the front cover.
- Remove 1Step Extraction kit and the blade.
- Clean piece by piece, by hand or in the dishwasher. Check the recommendations regarding parts that can be washed in the dishwasher (pag. 2)
Weekly cleaning
Extraction Kit
For deep cleaning, disassemble the 1Step Extraction Kit and clean all the
parts
- Remove the peel ejectors located on the sides at the bottom.
- Unscrew the knob located on the lower central part.
- Lift the stainless-steel handles.
- Remove the pressing units.
- Clean all the parts with a sponge and soap, rinse after with clean water. All the parts can also be washed in a dishwasher.
Assembly Instructions
- Insert the juice tray and the filter.
- Assemble the tap.
- Insert the filter.
- Place the PulpOut filter on a surface. First mount the left roller, insert the second roller and stretch the belt until the roller is mounted in its housing.
- Insert the PulpOut into the holes of the juice tray.
- Insert the blade pressing towards the machine until notice the clip sound.
- Caution: Remove the blade protector before inserting the kit.
- Insert 1 Step Extraction kit
- Screw the central know of the 1Step Extraction Kit.
- Assemble the front cover.
- Place the peel buckets towards the machine until notice the bucket is in their position.
- Insert the juice tray and PulpOut in one step. Hold the container and position it on the guide rails of the cover and push until it is fully inserted.
- Press both upper sides of the PulpOut until both buttons move outwards and sit in line with the protruding lines on the front.
- Insert the feeder plate by screwing the central knob.
