INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The Electronic Hearing Protector with build active level dependent function. The noise limiter filter out (cut off) harmful noise sounds over 82 dB. Loud impulse sounds are effectively blocked out and limited to safe levels. Electronic earmuffs are amplifying low noises for enhanced hearing. This earmuff is provided with electronic audio jack input for connection with MP3 players, cell phones, and two-way radios.

LED light Power ON/OFF switch
The LED light will indicate that earmuffs are working (ON)
Gel Ear cushion
Gel-filled cushions maintain a comfortable, noise-blocking seal around the ears.
Auto shut-off function 4 hours
After automatic shut-off, wait 5 seconds. Turn earmuff on again to another 4 hours of working time.

Fitting Instructions

  1. Extend the headband before use.
  2. Place the earcups over the outer ear, ON/OFF wheel switch on the right side of the head.

EarMuff Overview

2 x AAA Alkaline Batteries
Open the battery lid by pushing the battery lid, then slide upward with your thumbs. Ensure the battery lid is closed completely.
Insert the two 1.5V AAA batteries. Make sure that the “+” and “-” poles are in the correct position. Finally, ensure that the battery lid is closed completely. Change the batteries whenever the sound reproduction is weakened or impaired.
Remove the batteries out of the battery compartment, when Earmuffs are not used for example during storage. The warranty is not covering battery-related or battery acid leakage-related technical failures.
Cold weather will reduce battery output power life. Avoid poor-quality alkaline batteries. Avoid mixing different brands or types and ages of batteries. Use AAA Alkaline.

Attenuation Data

According to Standards EN352-1:2002, EN352-4:2001 and EN352-6:2002

  Cautions
For the noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. A hearing protector must be worn at all times in noisy surroundings for proper protection. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the noise reduction rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire. Constant or repetitive exposure to impulsive noise may lead to serious injury. Earmuff must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively.

Cleaning & Maintenance & Storage

Cleaning: Do not use solvents for cleaning. Clean with a damp cloth soaked with a warm soap solution and allowed to dry before re-use. Do Not Use abrasive brushes or materials which damage the foam pads or cushions. Further information regarding cleaning agents from the manufacturer.
Maintenance: Replace the cushions as necessary, at least every 6 months. Use the manufacturer’s original replacement cushions. Pull off the old cushions and press new ones firmly into their proper place. Cups should not be opened! If the cups are opened warranty is void.
Storage: Storage in a clean, dry, and dust-free place. Moisture may occur inside the ear cups after long-term use. It is important to dry the moisture from the cups to prevent corrosion. It is recommended to turn temporarily the ear cups outwards to allow the foam linings to dry. Remove AAA
batteries always from the unit during storage. The warranty is void if the battery acid has been leaking inside the battery compartment.
