Cleaning the diaphragm trap or hybrid trap
Clean the diaphragm trap or the hybrid trap at the recommended intervals.
Cleaning instructions:
- Use a mild, alkaline or slightly acidic cleaning agent.
- After cleaning, rinse with clean water to prevent the cleaning agent affecting the diaphragm.
- Remove deposits and contamination on the diaphragm by immersing it in lukewarm water and then rinsing it with clean water.
- Do not use enzyme tablets or fragrance tablets. When these tablets dissolve and work in combination with cleaning agents, they can form waxy deposits on the diaphragm. This prevents the diaphragm from closing fully.
- Never use solvents.
- Never use strong acids with a pH < 1.
- Protect the diaphragm trap or the hybrid trap from direct exposure to sunlight.
Maintenance
We recommend visually checking the urinal at the intervals outlined below. If odours are starting to accumulate persistently or the urine discharge is not sufficient, replace the diaphragm trap.
Frequency of use | Maintenance interval |
---|---|
• Normal | 2 x per year |
• Medium (in restaurants, for example) | 4 x per year |
• Frequent (in airports or stadiums, for example) | 6 x per year |
