CAUTION: HOT • DO NOT HOLD IN HAND WHILE OPERATING • PLACE INFLATOR ON A HARD, CLEAN SURFACE.
- DO NOT run the vehicle while the inflator is operating. You may need to be in an “accessory” or “on” position. Please make sure the emergency brake is set and the car is in the park.
- Always ensure the valve connector is fully seated to depress the core of the valve stem for proper inflation.
- DO NOT use the inflator continuously for more than 10 minutes. Allow the unit to cool for approximately 25 minutes between uses. Do not leave the inflator unattended.
- ALWAYS use a pressure gauge to check tire pressure. DO NOT overinflate.
- Soft inflatables (i.e. rafts, balls, etc.) may not have recommended pressure markings. Be careful not to inflate items beyond their capacity.
- While operating, never block the inflator input or output.
- Keep the inflator out of reach of children.
- For use with 12-volt DC power outlets rated 15 amps or higher. Do not use older 8-amp cigarette lighter receptacles.
INFLATE TIRES
- Screw the valve connector onto the tire’s valve stem.
- Plug the power cord into the 12-volt accessory power outlet.
- Press the on/off button to turn on the inflator. Inflate the tire to the manufacturer’s recommended air pressure.* When proper pressure is reached, press the on/off button again to turn off the inflator. Unplug the power cord and remove the valve connector.
- NOTE: Correct tire pressure can be found in the vehicle owner’s manual or on the driver’s side door jamb.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The inflator does not turn on:
- Check the fuse, it may have blown: 12V fuse is located in the plug adapter. Unscrew the tip, remove the fuse, and inspect. If necessary, replace the fuse with a 15A 250V (5mm×20mm).
- Check the vehicle’s power outlet fuse; it should be a minimum of 15 amps.
- Check receptacles and plug terminals for dirt (particularly tobacco). Use a non-conductive probe (not fingers or metal) to dislodge and remove debris.
- Push the power plug firmly into the receptacle and twist it back and forth.
Inflator runs but does not inflate:
- Be sure the valve connector is tightly screwed onto the valve stem.
- Check the tire for leaks. Check the hose for breaks and leaks at the fittings.
Inflator runs slowly:
- The inflator may have overheated from excessive use. Shut it off and allow it to cool for 25 minutes.
- The voltage may be too low. Check the condition of your vehicle’s battery.
NOTE: If the tire is totally deflated, it is possible that the tire could separate from the rim allowing air to leak out when trying to inflate. In the event this occurs, it may be necessary to jack up the tire prior to inflation.
