General Description

This IR extender will work together with Casambi Bluetooth mesh network ecosystem application to provide comfort, convenience and control of your room based air conditioners and fans. It will also control other consumer electronic appliances such as TVs, DVD/Blue-ray players and TV boxes.

General Description

Pair and Unpair the IR Extender

  1. Download “Casambi” App, connect BXT-130 IR extender with Bluetooth, Casambi will automatically detect the nearby devices showing as below. Tap the device to add it into the network. User can change profile on multiple toggle buttons and push buttons up to the preferred application, default setting is 8 toggle buttons.
    Notes:

    • Push Button cannot be set as Scene control, please enable Toggle button when you want to configure Scene control.
    • The App is available in Apple App Store and Google Play.

  2. Tap “add to my network” to add BXT-130 into Casambi network, user can add to existing network or create a new network.

  3. Unpair BXT-130 to remove from Casambi network. Tap “nearby device“ and then click BXT-130 to unpair or click “Edit” to remove it. Note: IR data will not be erased after unpaired.

Infrared Settings

Infrared Learning for Air-con or AV (e.g. TV), Fan, etc

  1. Double tap BXT-130 on device page, scroll down and click “Learning on signal”, popup to enter number from 0-16, refer to below mapping table.

    Note 1 : 8 keys for push buttons and up to 16 keys for toggle buttons.
    Note 2 : Any IR command/function can be learnt into, such as AC temperature 25℃ Cool, not limited to ON/OFF, user can rename the button for what they are.

Example: Learn TV/Fan, or Air-con ON and OFF to Toggle button 1 and 9
a) Input value 1 as parameter to learn TV/Fan/AC ON command.
b) BXT-130 LED will turn Red.
c) Point your original remote control to the Red LED at a distance 1-3 cm and then press the POWER button then release it. For AC power button, since it is discrete code, please adjust your AC remote to OFF status before learning, then press again to learn ON command; If learn eg. 25℃ Cool, then adjust to 25 ℃ Cool, and POWER OFF on your AC remote before learning, then press POWER ON to learn the temperature in.

d) BXT-130 Red LED will flash twice if the learning successful, otherwise indicate 6 times flash as failure.
e) If learning failed, please firstly input value 0 to clear the previous value and then input value 1 to trigger IR learning procedure again.
f) For POWER OFF learning, input value 9 and repeat step b) to e).
Note: If user doing AV learning (e.g. TV), please press once (1s) then release it on your original remote.

  1. Go back device page, press and hold the BXT-130 icon then all buttons will appear for control, rename button name if needed.

Setting Delay Time between each Infrared code under Scene control

When setup the scene, it may trigger multiple toggle buttons, and the extender will emit multiple IR signals. The default delay time between each signal is 300ms, but in some use cases, a longer delay time may be needed. Here’s how to increase the delay time:

  1. Double tap BXT-130 icon on the device page.
  2. Scroll down and click “Delay time”.Setting Delay Time between each Infrared code under Scene control
  3. Enter value between 3 (300ms) to 20 (2000ms or 2s), please ensure the learning value is set to 0 while set delay time, otherwise it will trigger learning process.
  4.  Press OK to confirm it, BXT-130 will activate new delay time under Scene control.

Clear Learning Data and Delay Time settings

Press and keep holding device button for 5 seconds, Red LED will flash twice, the Learning data and Delay Time settings will be cleared.

Service trips to provide instruction on product use.
Shipping costs for replacement products.
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of this product only, if the purchase date cannot be substantiated, the warranty period will begin on the date of manufacture as indicated on this product. All warranty claims must be made to Remotec appointed distributors or dealers during the applicable warranty period. This warranty gives you specific legal right and you may also have other rights which vary in each country.
