Installation Instructions for Adjustable Gates

(Please read all instructions carefully before starting.)

Note: During installation, snug screws in position (do not tighten until door is completely hung) then tighten all screws securely.

1. Center hinge side frame (A) against jamb at desired location and install Phillips head screws in hinges
2. Position lock-side striker (B) at same elevation on the opposite jamb and install top Phillips head screw only!
3. Attach center section frame (C) to hinge side frame (A).
4. Attach lock side frame (D) to center section frame (C).
5. Adjust center section frame (C) evenly between two side frames (A) and (D). Leave 1/4″ clearance between lock side frame (D) and lock side striker (B).
6. Insert tamper-resistant one-way screws in center section frame (C). (Remember, do no tighten!)
7. Close door and align against lock side striker (B).Hold bottom of lock side striker (B) in place, open door, and insert remaining Phillips head screws in lock side striker (B).
8. Tighten all screws securely.

This gate can be installed inside the casing of the door or outside the door, see above. It will pivot out of the way when not in use. The gate can be mounted on the le or right. Simply turn the gate upside down to mount on the opposite side.

1. Position folded gate against the doorframe where you intend to mount it. Gate can be propped up on blocks if necessary.

2. Mark the mounting surface through the pilot holes in the hinge bar with a pen or pencil.
   For mounting into:

   • Wood: use 5/16″ x 3″ one-way lag screws (provided)
   • Steel: drill and tap for 5/16″ x 1″ bolts
   • Brick or Concrete: 5/16″ x 3″ one-way lag screws (provided)

3. Drill appropriate size holes in the mounting surface.

4. Mount the gate by inserting the screws through the hinge bar.

5. Stretch the gate across the opening. Line up the locking bar on the opposite side so that the padlock hole in the gate and the padlock hole in the locking bar match.

6. Mark through the mounting holes of the locking bar with a pen or pencil.

7. Drill holes and insert the screws to mount the locking bar.

8. Pull the door into the locking bar and insert a padlock. (Padlock not included)
