AIRAM-102495635-20L-12V-Basic-Cooler-PRODUCT

This instruction must be kept available during installation and for future maintenance.

FUNCTIONS

COOLING
The cooler works best if the already cooled cooler box is filled with food and beverages that have already been cooled beforehand. This way they will stay cool for a long time and even become slightly more chilled. If the products are placed in the cooler at room temperature, their cooling will take a couple of hours. The cooling function cools the cooler box approx. 15 0

START AND STOP
Never connect the cooler’s 12V power cord directly to mains electricity (230V). The cooler has a fixed 12V/DC power cord that can be connected to the DC/12V socket of a car (not for lorries, 24V). A so-called lorry adapter is available as an accessory: 24V-12V.

SAFETY

  1.  Remember to ensure sufficient ventilation for the cooler’s motor when using the cooler. Do not use the cooler in closed spaces such as the trunk of a car, for example. Do not leave the cooler in direct sunlight.
  2.  Do not block the motor’s air channels on the lid. Leave at least 10 cm of free space in front of the ventilator.
  3.  Avoid substances that leak color. Do not use products that contain acid, gasoline or alcohol when cleaning the surfaces of the cooler.
  4.  Do not use a damaged or tangled power cord.
  5.  When the cooler is used in hot or humid conditions, moisture will condense on the inside of the cooler. This is not a malfunction. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
  6.  Only the importer may repair the cooler. If repairs are conducted by any other party, the warranty is voided.
  7.  Do not pour liquids on the cooler.
  8.  Do not allow children to use the cooler unsupervised.
  9.  Do not place electric equipment inside the cooler.
  10.  The cooler can be connected to several kinds of power sources. Separately sold accessory: mains adapter 230V, no. 9300201, GTIN 6435200237989.
  11.  The cooler can be used while camping. Do not use it in the rain. Avoid direct sunlight.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

  1. Unplug the power cord from the power source before cleaning.
  2.  Remove grease with dishwashing liquid, for example.
  3.  Remove waxy dirt with a damp cloth.
  4.  Do not clean with running water.
  5.  Remove dirt from the air inlet with a vacuum cleaner or brush and then wipe with a damp cloth.

MALFUNCTIONS
Please check the following points before sending the cooler to be serviced: The cooler does not work and the fan does not spin.

  1. Ensure that the power cord for car is plugged in.
  2. Ensure that the DC/12V power socket receives power. In most vehicles, the car key must be in the so-called “accessory position” for the 12 V power socket to work.
  3. Ensure that the car’s DC/12V power socket provides proper contact. The contact surfaces can become stained from exposure to cigarette dust, which reduces their electrical conductivity. Clean the er socket with a non-conductive brush and a suitable cleaning agent until the contact surfaces are clean and bright. If the power socket heats up more than usual during use, it might be the result of poor contact or the inside of the socket might be damaged.
  4. The circuit of a car DC/12V power socket is protected with a separate fuse. Ensure that the fuse is intact.

MALFUNCTION 1
The cooling function does not work. Reason: poor contact at the socket/the device has been subjected to direct sunlight/the device has been used in a space that is too tight.
MALFUNCTION 2
Strange sound or vibration. Reason: the device is malfunctioning, unplug it from the power source immediately and send it in to be serviced.
MALFUNCTION 3
The device smells burnt or the cooler has melted. Reason: The device has overheated. Unplug it immediately and send it in to be serviced.
