QUOIZEL SYA1718BN Series Syrah Nickel Semi Flush Mount Ceiling Light
Product Information
The SYA1718BN, SYA1718MBK, SYA2818BN, and SYA2818MBK are convertible light fixtures that can be mounted as pendant lights or semi-flush lights. The fixtures can be installed on ceilings with 8 or 9 feet height. The recommended maximum wattage for each fixture is 100W. The bulb base type and bulb type required for the fixtures are Medium (E26) and Type A respectively. The package contents include a ceiling canopy, fixture body, crossbar assembly, wire connector, outlet box screw, and rods of different lengths.
Product Usage Instructions
Installation
Option 1: Pendant – SYA2818BN, SYA2818MBK
- Install Rods: Choose the appropriate length of rods based on the ceiling height. For an 8-feet ceiling, use two 12L rods. For a 9-feet ceiling, use two 6L rods and two 12L rods.
- Wiring: Connect the white wire from the supply to the white wire from the fixture. Connect the black (or red) wire from the supply to the black wire from the fixture. Connect the ground wire from the supply to the ground wire from the fixture.
- Tighten hex nut inside of the Ceiling Canopy.
- Install Crossbar Assembly to Outlet Box.
- Install Ceiling Canopy to Crossbar Assembly.
- Install Ceiling Canopy to Upper Rod.
- Install Bulbs: Install three bulbs of correct type and wattage as indicated in fixture markings and/or labels.
IMPORTANT : This CONVERTIBLE fixture can be mounted as pendant light or semi-flush light. DO NOT CUT SUPPLY WIRES if you intend to use it as pendant light.
Option 2: Semi-Flush – SYA1718BN, SYA1718MBK

Set aside (2) 6″L Rods and (2) 12″L Rods,swivel since they are not required for the semi-flush installation.
- Remove Swivel.
- Install Ceiling Canopy.
- Install Crossbar Assembly to Outlet Box.
- Wiring: Connect the white wire from the supply to the white wire from the fixture. Connect the black (or red) wire from the supply to the black wire from the fixture. Connect the ground wire from the supply to the ground wire from the fixture.
- Install Ceiling Canopy to Crossbar Assembly.
- Install Bulbs: Install three bulbs of correct type and wattage as indicated in fixture markings and/or labels.
Your installation is now complete! Restore electricity and save this sheet for future reference.

Safety Information
The product should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations. Before installation, turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker or fuse box. - Turn off electricity to fixture before replacing the bulb(s).
Care and Maintenance
- To clean the fixture, turn off the electricity and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents as they can damage the finish.
- Wipe clean using soft, dry cloth or static duster. Always avoid using harsh chemicals and abrasives to clean fixture as they may damage the finish.
