Product Information: SYA1718BN, SYA1718MBK, SYA2818BN and SYA2818MBK

The SYA series of lighting fixtures from Quoizel are a stylish and versatile addition to any room. These fixtures are convertible and can be installed as pendant lights or semi-flush lights. The fixtures come in two finishes: Brushed Nickel (BN) and Matte Black (MBK). The recommended bulb type for these fixtures is Medium (E26) Type A with a maximum wattage of 100W (bulbs not included).

Installation

Option 1: Pendant Installation – SYA2818BN, SYA2818MBK

1. Install Rods:
   For an 8-foot ceiling, use two 12L rods. For a 9-foot ceiling, use two 6L rods and two 12L rods.

2. Wiring:
   Connect the white wire from the supply to the white wire from the fixture. Connect the black (or red) wire from the supply to the black wire from the fixture. Connect the ground wire from the supply to the ground wire from the fixture.

3. Tighten hex nut inside of the Ceiling Canopy and attach Green ground screw.

4. Install Crossbar Assembly to Outlet Box.

5. Install Ceiling Canopy to Crossbar Assembly.

6. Install Ceiling Canopy to Upper Rod.

7. Install Bulbs:
   Install three correct bulbs referring to fixture markings and/or labels for maximum wattage. Recommended Bulb type (not included):
   Medium (E26) Type A with a maximum wattage of 100W.

8. Restore electricity and save the user manual for future reference.

Option 2: Semi-Flush Installation – SYA1718BN, SYA1718MBK

1. Remove Swivel.

2. Install Ceiling Canopy.

3. Install Crossbar Assembly to Outlet Box.

4. Wiring:
   Connect the white wire from the supply to the white wire from the fixture. Connect the black (or red) wire from the supply to the black wire from the fixture. Connect the ground wire from the supply to the ground wire from the fixture. Attach Green ground screw.

5. Install Ceiling Canopy to Crossbar Assembly.

6. Install Bulbs:
   Install three correct bulbs referring to fixture markings and/or labels for maximum wattage. Recommended Bulb type (not included):
   Medium (E26) Type A with a maximum wattage of 100W.

7. Restore electricity and save the user manual for future reference.

• Wipe clean using soft, dry cloth or static duster. Always avoid using harsh chemicals and abrasives to clean fixture as they may damage the finish.

IMPORTANT: This CONVERTIBLE fixture can be mounted as pendant light or semi-flush light. DO NOT CUT SUPPLY WIRES if you intend to use it as pendant light.

OPTION 2: SEMI-FLUSH – SYA1718BN, SYA1718MBK

• Set aside (2) 6″L Rods and (2) 12″L Rods,swivel since they are not required for the semi-flush installation.
