Millennia NSEQ –HF is a high-frequency equalizer module designed to work in an API 500VPR or Lunchbox rack. It consumes +210mA power with all LEDs on and has a gain range of +/- 18dB or when LED is on, +/- 9dB. It has a balanced/unbalanced input that increases gain by 6dB to compensate for possible signal loss when balanced and unbalanced equipment is used in the same signal path.

Compatible Racks

The NSEQ –HF is designed to work in an API 500VPR or Lunchbox rack. If you are using another brand, make sure it meets or exceeds the API spec.

Installation Instructions

Do not install or remove the module until the rack’s power is off.

Usage Instructions

  • EQ IN — places EQ in the signal path. Hardwired relay bypass when out.
  • Frequency Select Switch — selects fixed high frequencies.
  • Peak/Shelf Select — When LED is on, EQ is shelving at 6 dB per octave. When LED is off, EQ is peaking with a fixed Q of 1.0.
  • Boost/Cut Control — +18(9) dB of boost and -18(9) dB of cut. Boost/Cut potentiometer has 21 detented positions for accurate repeatability and session logging. The graph below shows maximum cut and boost at 8 kHz for peaking and shelving settings.

World Wide Warranty

Millennia provides a two-year limited warranty covering failures due only to defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal, intended use. This warranty does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failures which are caused by products not supplied by Millennia Media. Vacuum tube and bulb failures are not covered under warranty. Shipping costs to/from factory are not covered under this warranty. Please contact your local Millennia Distributor for repairs and service outside North America.

Discarding Units

In the event that any Millennia equipment manufactured after July 1, 2006, needs to be discarded, you must return it to Millennia, at our headquarters in California, USA. Please contact the distributor in your country or Millennia directly for instructions. We will make arrangements to have the equipment shipped to us at no cost to you, and we will dispose of it in a manner that complies with whatever regulations are in existence at that time.

Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge

Static electricity can harm delicate components on the HV-35 board. To prevent static damage, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any jumpers or switches with the cover removed. You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface on the API rack’s chassis.

WARNING
Do not install or remove the module until the rack’s power is off.
