- People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
- The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this Lantern, but must be supplied by operator.
- Contains Li-Ion battery. Battery must be recycled or disposed or properly. Do not open, crush, heat above 140° F or incinerate.
Battery use and care
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Lithium Battery Safety Warnings

EXPLODE IF MISTREATED
- Keep Battery dry.
- DO NOT DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TO THE BATTERY:

- c. Short-circuit,
- d. Puncture,
- e. Incinerate, or
- f. Expose to temperatures greater than 140°F.
- Charge Battery only according to these instructions.

Charging
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this Lantern.

If the Power Indicator blinks, its an indication that the Lantern must be recharged.

Recharge the Batteries by using the included DC Adapter cable. Pull back the Charging Port Cover and plug the cable into the Charging Port. Connect the other side of the cable to a 5VDC power source (such as the USB connector on a computer).

Turn the Lantern off.

It will take approximately 8 hours to fully charge the Lantern’s batteries.

The Charge Indicator next to the Charging Port will illuminate red when the batteries are charging and will change to green when fully charged.

When fully charged, disconnect the DC Adapter cable. Be sure to close the Charging Port Cover securely to avoid water intrusion. Store the DC Adapter in the Lantern’s Storage Compartment.
Note: Twist of the bottom of the Lantern to remove cover and gain access to the Storage Compartment. Be sure to screw the cover back on tightly to avoid water intrusion. -
To prevent accidents and preserve charge in the Batteries, turn the Lantern off after use. Clean, then store the Lantern indoors out of children’s reach.
Operation
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this Lantern.

Once the Battery is fully charged, the Lantern can be used.
Note: When the Lantern is powered on, the Power Indicator will illuminate. -
Press the Power Switch to turn the Main Light on to low intensity. Press again for medium intensity and again for full brightness. Press a fourth time to turn the Main Light off.

Press the Power Switch for 3 seconds and the Bottom Light will illuminate to full brightness. Press again for low light and a third time to turn the Bottom Light off.

Press the Power Switch again for 3 seconds and the top red SOS Button will illuminate. Press again to turn the SOS Light off.
Note: To preserve the service life of the LEDs, allow 20 seconds to pass between switching the Lantern on and off. -
The Handles may be extended as needed and used to hang or carry the Lantern. The longer handle may be used to set the Lantern upside down.

Return the Handle to its resting position when finished using it.

The removable Glare Guard may be attached and positioned as desired.

To prevent accidents and preserve charge in the Battery, turn the Lantern off after use. Clean and recharge, then store the Lantern indoors out of children’s reach.
Maintenance
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
WARNING TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OR FIRE: Turn
the Power Switch of the Lantern off. Unplug the Lantern from its DC Adapter
(if used) and allow the Lantern to cool completely before performing any
inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM LANTERN FAILURE: Do not use damaged equipment.
If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before
further use.
- BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Lantern. Check for:
- loose hardware,
- misalignment or binding of moving parts,
- cracked or broken parts,
- damaged electrical wiring, and
- any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
- Clean outside regularly to prevent dust from accumulating. Use damp cloth during cleaning and dry before use.
- There are no serviceable or replacement parts in the Lantern or DC Adapter.
Battery Disposal
- Access the batteries by twisting and removing the bottom cover of the Lantern.
- Remove four screws from inside the Storage Compartment.
- Cut wires from the batteries using insulated wire clippers and remove batteries from the Lantern.
- Li-Ion BATTERIES MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. Do not short, incinerate or open battery.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS. To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
