  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 and above and by persons without experience or knowledge, or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, provided they have been instructed concerning safe use of the product, use the device under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety and understand the hazards involved. Do not allow children to play with this device. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the device unsupervised. Please keep the device and charger out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
  • This product is intended for domestic use only. The manufacturer is not responsible and the warranty is not applicable for any commercial or improper use, or failure to follow the instructions.
  • This product is an electrical appliance: use it only under normal operating conditions.
  • The vacuum cleaner is a device designed for cleaning rooms.
  • Do not use the device if it has been dropped, has visible damages, or if it is not working properly. In this case, do not open the device, please contact customer service or an Authorized Service Center.
  • Please keep an eye on children, do not allow them playing with the device.
  • Cleaning and maintenance is the responsibility of the user, and must not be tasked to children without supervision.
  • Never submerge the product in water or other liquids for cleaning.
  • This product is intended for use in the home exclusively. It is not intended for use in rooms for cooking staff in stores, offices and other workplaces, in hotel, motel, guesthouse and other structures intended for receiving guests.
  • If power cord the of the charger is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  •  Unplug the product from electrical outlet when it is not in use, before cleaning, servicing or maintenance, and before installing or removing any moving brush head if supplied.

Caution! Please keep packaging material (plastic bags, foam) out of the reach of children.

  • Repairs should only be carried out by an authorized specialist or service company. Unqualified repairs may result in a serious danger to the user. Unqualified repairs will make warranty service of the product impossible.
  • Do not load the water tank beyond the maximum mark.
  • Claims of any kind for damage or injury caused by improper use of the product are not accepted. The owner of the product is responsible for such damages.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for damage or injury caused by not following the operating instructions, using the appliance for purposes other than its intended use, unprofessional repairs, making unauthorized modifications or using nonspecified spare parts.
  • Make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the local mains supply. Any improper connection may cause permanent damage to the product and will void the warranty.
  • The vacuum cleaner needs recharging after each use for keeping the battery fully charged to ensure optimal performance.
  • If you are leaving for a long time (holidays, etc.) please unplug the unit, otherwise the charge level may reduce due to battery self-discharging.
  • Unwind and straighten the power cable before using the device.
  • Do not place the power cable on the objects with sharp edges. Do not run the power adapter cable across doorways or near heat sources. Make sure the cable is not twisted or kinked.
  • Do not attempt to open the main body or remove any part of the device, there are no serviceable parts inside. The use of accessories that are not included in the delivery package is not recommended. This can be dangerous and should be avoided.
  • Do not place the device on or near hot gas, electric burners, or in a heated oven.
  • Make sure your hair and loose clothing parts do not get caught in the openings and between moving parts of the device and accessories, and do not touch them with your fingers, hands or any other parts of your body. Do not point tube, hose or nozzle toward other people’s eyes, ears or mouth.
  • Do not touch rotating components of the device while it is running or plugged in.
  • Do not incinerate out-of-work device for disposal, even if it is badly damaged. Batteries may explode when exposed to fire.
  • The battery should be disposed of in a safe way.
  • Before removing the battery, make sure the device is not plugged in.
  • This device is equipped with batteries that should only be replaced by professionals.
  • If you notice some fluid leak from the battery, avoid touching it. In case of unintentional contact, wash it off with water. If the fluid gets into your eyes, seek medical attention additionally. Fluid leaking from batteries may cause irritation or burns on your skin.
  • Do not use the device if its cable or plug is damaged.
  • Use only the charger specified by the manufacturer. The charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may present a risk of fire when used with another battery.
  • Do not pull the power cord while unplug the external power supply (charger) from the power outlet.
  •  Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet when not in use, before cleaning, servicing or maintenance, and before installing or removing any moving brush head if they are included in the delivery package.
  • Remove the battery from the device before disposing of the product.
  • Do not use the device if its cable or plug is damaged. If the product is not working properly, if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or submerged in water, take it to a service center.
  • Use only the types and amounts of fluids specified in Operation section of this document.
  • Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick up any sticky substances (plaster, cement, etc.), large sharp objects (glass), harmful objects (solvents, abrasives, etc.), highly reactive (acids, cleaners, etc.), flammable or explosive substances (oil. alcohol, hot ash).
  • Do not store the product outdoors.
  • See Operation section for instructions on starting, charging, cleaning and servicing.
  •  Do not leave the vacuum cleaner in an unstable position (such as against the wall, table or back of a chair) if you make a pause in your room cleaning.
  • Batteries are intended for indoor use only. Do not submerge them in water. Handle batteries with care. Do not put batteries in your mouth. Keep batteries away from metal objects (rings, nails, screws, etc.). Do not short-circuit the batteries by inserting metal objects into them. Short-circuiting may cause the battery temperature to rise to dangerous levels and result in serious skin burn or even a fire.

WARNING – There is a risk of fire or chemical burns if the battery installed in this device is used improperly. Do not disassemble or short- circuit the battery, do not store it at <0°C or >45°C, do not incinerate it. Keep the battery away from children. Do not disassemble or incinerate it.

  • Do not use the vacuum cleaner in enclosed areas where there is a high concentration of oil-based paint fumes, solvent, insecticides, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic fumes in the air. Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick up foamy liquids.
  • Do not insert any object into the openings. Do not allow dust, hair or anything that may reduce airflow getting into the openings.
  • Prevent any contact of metal or conductive materials with the battery.
  • Keep the product away from metal objects such as coins or paper clips when the battery pack is not in use.
  • Do not splash any fluid at the equipment with electrical components.
  • Connect the product to a properly grounded electrical outlet only. Do not modify the grounding plug.
  • Do not touch the charger or its plug with wet hands.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery pack and the output contacts of the charger station.
  • Do not point the UV lamp at human or animals.
  • Do not charge the device outdoors.
  •  Disconnect the product from mains power supply before removing the battery pack from the device.
  • Do not shake the device, or the dirty water may get into its motor.
  • Empty the dirty water tank when it is full.
  • Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 60°C, or incinerate the battery.
  • Follow all charging instructions; do not charge the device when the temperature is out of the range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or charging at temperatures out of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  • Do not use the device for picking up hard or sharp objects such as splinter of glass, nail, screw, coins, etc.
  • Do not turn the device on unless filters are installed.
  • This model is intended for domestic use only.
  • Keep the device on a flat surface when it is not running.
  • A Li -ion battery naturally loses capacity over time compared to new device.
  •  Do not leave the device with roller brush running on the spot for a long time unless its handle is in the upright position.

Operation

Assembly

  1. Remove the Handle, Main Body, Lithium-ion Battery Pack, Clean Water Tank, Dirty Water Tank, Roller Brush, Charging Station, Drying Tray and Cleaning Tool from the packaging box.
  2.  Insert the Handle into the Main Body until you hear a click.
  3. Turn the Clean Water Tank over and insert it into the Main Body until you hear a click.
  4.  Press the Battery Lock Button, then insert the battery into the battery compartment and push lightly until you hear a click.
  5.  Align the bottom of the Dirty Water Tank with the inlet, then push in until you hear a click.THOMSON VH20BW02 Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner - Assembly
  6. Insert the brush into the base as shown. Make sure that the retainer is aligned with the lock. Lock the brush in place.

  1. The Clean Water Tank is located on the back of the Main Body. Grasp the top of the water tank with your fingers and pull it up to remove.
  2.  Unscrew the water cap counterclockwise as shown below and add some water, then screw it back on and insert the Clean Water Tank into the housing.
    • Do not screw the cap too tight or too loosely otherwise the cap may break or the water tank may leak.
    • You may also add non-corrosive cleaning solutions to clean your floor. DO NOT add dirty water into the Clean Water Tank. DO NOT add water above the MAX mark.
    • It is okay to have a little water in the tank before the first use, because all products were tested during production.

Charging the battery

  1. Insert the Charger into the slot in the Charging / Self-cleaning Station as shown below.

  2.  Attach the Drying Tray to the station. It is advisable to place the station close to the wall.

  3.  Two options available for charging the battery:
    A) Place the vacuum cleaner on the Charging Station and connect the power adapter so you can start charging.
    B) Remove the battery from the Main Body and charge it separately.

Note: Please charge the vacuum cleaner within 12 hours for the first time.
Working with wet vacuum cleaner

  1. Check the Handle, Clean Water Tank, Dirty Water Tank, Lithium-ion Battery pack, and Roller Brush, making sure they are all installed correctly and tightly.

  2.  Press the Power Button on the Handle to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Press the Mode Button (MAX/ECO) to switch between two suction modes. Tips:
    • Use the hard brush for short pile carpets.
    • Do not use the vacuum cleaner on very long pile carpets.
    • DO NOT use wet vacuum cleaner to clean slick and delicate material carpets.
    • It is NOT advisable to spray liquids onto the carpet.

  3. Hold down the Spray Button for 8 seconds to spray cleaning water/solutions before each use. While cleaning, spray water as necessary.

  4. Grasp the handle and start moving the vacuum cleaner back and forth to wash the floor.

  5. Try keeping the angle of the handle within 60.5 degrees (up and down). Do not shake the handle while working to avoid spilling the liquid.

  6. Clean the Dirty Water Tank after each use.

Tank Tips:

  • The UV lamp is functioning automatically. The UV lamp will go down when you turn the vacuum cleaner off or the device detects it is not on the floor.
  • DO NOT expose other people or animals to UV light.
  • Be sure to clean Dirty Water Tank immediately after cleaning is complete.
  • DO NOT turn the Main Body over until the Dirty Water Tank is emptied. Otherwise, dirty water may get into the motor and damage the unit.

Working with wet & dry vacuum cleaner
There is a button on the device that allows you to adjust the volume of the voice alerts. You can turn them off if you wish.

Self-cleaning

The device has a self-cleaning feature. To make use of it, place the vacuum cleaner on the Charging/Self-cleaning Station:

  1. Make sure there is enough clean water in the Clean Water Tank. Empty the Dirty Water Tank before self-cleaning.
  2.  Place the device on the Charging Station (1) and hook up the power supply unit.
  3.  Press the Self-Cleaning Button (2), the indicator will flash white slowly and the device will spray clean water, cleaning the roller brush and pipes automatically.
  4.  Turn off the power supply unit and clean up the Dirty Water Tank after self-cleaning is done to avoid foul smell.

Caution: Make sure the Dirty Water Tank and HEPA filter are properly installed before self-cleaning.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Before servicing and cleaning, disconnect the device from mains power supply, turn off the device and remove the battery.
For daily care and maintenance, use a soft dry cloth to wipe the Main Body and Charging Station. Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the brush base, scraper and IR sensor.THOMSON VH20BW02 Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner - Self-
cleaning Cleaning the brush
Open the roller brush lock, turn the brush counterclockwise, then remove the brush.
Clean the brush and brush guard with the Cleaning Tool.
Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

  1. Press the Dirty Water Tank lock button and remove the Dirty Water Tank. Remove the HEPA filter and the cover.THOMSON VH20BW02 Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner - Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank
  2. Toss out the garbage into trash can, drain the dirty water out. Clean the Dirty Water Tank, the HEPA filter and the cover the clean water.

Cleaning the Self-cleaning/Charging Station

  1.  Disconnect the device from the mains power supply before cleaning.
  2. Drain the dirty water out of the Charging Station, wipe the Charging Station and Drying Tray with a soft dry cloth.

Storage

  1. Dry the Main Body, Clean Water Tank, Dirty Water Tank, Brush base, HEPA filter, Charging Station, Drying Tray.
  2.  You can store the Roller Brush in the Drying Tray.

Note

  • Be sure to clean and dry the Dirty Water Tank after each cleaning to avoid any mold or odor.
  • The device should be stored in a dry and ventilated area.
  • Keep the product out of direct sunlight.
  • Be sure to fully charge the battery at least once every 3 months to support good performance of the battery.

The above maintenance intervals are for reference only. Actual cleaning/replacement intervals should depend on usage.
