This Water Pump has been designed to operate on 110-120V, 60 Hz exclusively.
Using any other voltage or Hz adversely affects performance.

SITE PREPARATION
Make sure your work area where you intend to use the pump is clear of clutter and well-lit. Also, ensure that the pump is in a location where it will not be submerged in or come in contact with any water.
The pump is designed to pump clean water, so please make sure that the water source does not contain large debris.

WARNING – When using electrical pumps, basic precautions should always be followed. These include:
- Reading all the instructions before using the pump.
- To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is recommended at all times while the pump is in use.
- Do not put your fingers or hands into a water pump inlet or outlet while the pump is in use.
- Unplug the power before attempting to move the pump.

WATER & ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
HOSE CONNECTIONS
Connect a 3/4″ garden hose to the pump inlet and outlet. If you choose to use the hose that is longer than included hose for the inlet connection, ensure that it is less than 25′ long and the pump is placed no higher than 10′ above the water source.
NOTE: Keeping the hoses as straight as possible will improve the efficiency of the pump
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
THE WATER PUMP IS EQUIPPED WITH A GROUNDED PLUG-IN POWER CORD. This pump must be grounded during operation. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock. This pump’s cord is equipped with an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be used with an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
- Connect the pump to 110-120 Volt, 60 Hz AC current only.
- Use a three-prong plug, see the figure below:
CAUTION Do not allow the pump, electrical cord, or electrical outlet to come into contact with water. Failure to do so may cause serious injury. If you are unsure how to safely install or use this pump consult a licensed electrician.

PUMP PREPARATION
Before each use, the pump needs to be prepared with oil.
Pour 1/2 a tablespoon of food-grade vegetable oil into the inlet of the pump before turning it on. This will provide the necessary lubrication to grease the impeller.
OPERATION
The followings are the steps for operation:
- After oiling the pump, make sure the inlet and outlet hose is firmly connected to the correct port.
- Verify that the pump is in a safe area and will not be submerged or come in contact with water.
- Ensure that the inlet hose is submerged in the water.
- Make sure the end of the outlet hose is firmly connected.
- Ensure the plug is dry and plug it into a 3-wire, 120 Volt, 60 Hz, grounded A.C. outlet. This will turn on the motor.
- The pump is self-priming and water should begin to flow in 30 seconds or less:
- If water does not flow, unplug the pump and check the connection and setup
- Operating the pump without water for an extended period may damage the pump and cause it to fail.
- Once the pumping has been completed, unplug the pump. The pump may become hot during operation. Be careful while working near or touching the pump.
CAUTION Water and electricity do not mix. Make sure continuously check that the power connections and cables are not in contact with water. Consult an electrician if you have any questions or concerns.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- BEFORE Inspecting the general condition of the pump. Look for any conditions that may affect its safe operation.
- AFTER Unplugging the pump firmly and let it cool, as it may be hot from operating. Remove the hose connections. Carefully tilt and drain all excess water from inside the pump.
