Product Information

The CompactPCI is a modular 19-inch enclosure system that is
designed for industrial use. It comprises mechanical, electronic,
and thermal components such as subracks, cases, backplanes, power
supply units, cooling units, and system management modules. The
system is available in various versions, including CompactPCI
Serial, CompactPCI PlusIO, and CompactPCI PSB.

CompactPCI Serial

CompactPCI Serial (PICMG CPCI-S.0) is a systematic further
development of CompactPCI. It uses current and future serial
protocols for data transmission, including PCIe, S-ATA, USB 2.0
& 3.0, and Ethernet on every slot. The system is available in
various configurations such as 4 U, 9 slot, ATX PSU; 4 U, 9 slot,
19 PSU; and 4 U, 9 slot, 19 PSU Desktop.

CompactPCI PlusIO

CompactPCI PlusIO (PICMG 2.30) is a unified pinout system that
uses fast serial PCIe, S-ATA, USB, and Ethernet protocols on the
32-bit CompactPCI system slot. The system allows for hybrid
CompactPCI/CompactPCI Serial systems to be built and offers simple
migration to the new technology. The system is available in various
configurations such as 4 U, 8 slot, and 4 U, 8 slot Desktop.

CompactPCI PSB

CompactPCI PSB (Packet Switching Backplane, PICMG 2.16) and
H.110 (Computer Telephony Bus, PICMG 2.5) are CompactPCI
sub-specifications that define additional buses, specifically for
telecommunications applications in 6 U CompactPCI.

Product Usage Instructions

The CompactPCI system is designed for industrial use and can be
used in various applications. The system is available in different
configurations, including CompactPCI Serial, CompactPCI PlusIO, and
CompactPCI PSB. To use the system, follow the below
instructions:

Select the appropriate configuration of the CompactPCI system
based on your requirements.
Install the mechanical components such as subracks or cases
using the manufacturer’s instructions.
Install the electronic components such as backplanes and power
supply units following the manufacturer’s instructions.
If necessary, install cooling units and system management
modules following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the system to the appropriate devices using the
specified protocols for data transmission.
Test the system to ensure it is functioning correctly.
