No. The Aarke Purifier is designed and engineered for filtrating water with the Aarke Filter Refill granules only.
What contaminants do the Aarke Pure Filter Granules and the Purifier
reduce/remove?
The Pure Filter Refill granules reduce chlorine, heavy metals and limescale, turning tap water into a cleaner, more pleasurable experience. Depending on the quality of inlet water 80-100% of chlorine is reduced, fulfilling the EN17093:2018 Standard. Depending on the quality of inlet water 80-100% of copper is reduced, fulfilling the EN17093:2018 Standard. Do the Purifier and the Filter Refills reduce/remove fluoride or
microplastics?
No. There are many types of filtration technologies and removing these from drinking water requires a different type of technology than the one that has been developed for the Aarke Purifier and Filter Refills.
Do the Purifier and the Filter Refills reduce/remove pesticides, herbicides
or PFAS?
Herbicides, pesticides and PFAS may be reduced by the activated carbon in the granules. However, the Purifier and the Filter Granules ability to reduce/remove these substances depends on the condition of the inlet water, which varies a lot in different houses and cities etc, and the substance of herbicides and pesticides. Therefore we can not generally define how much these substances may be reduced.
Are there any chemicals involved in the filter granules?
No, the Aarke filter granules are produced according to the highest quality standards and do not contain any harmful substances (SVHC). The safety, hygiene and compliance of all materials are strictly tested and controlled by independent institutes. In our granules we use a mixture consisting of granulated activated carbon and ion exchange resin.
