Intended Use
Invacare Aqua (H140-H142) and Invacare Ocea (H320/1) are grab handles to be fixed on walls with screws. The products are intended as support aids for persons with mobility limitations when e.g. going in and out from a bathtub or moving in the shower.

Indication : If used without an assistant, the users must be able to keep their own balance. There are no contraindications known when using the product as intended. For the maximum user weight, see 7 Technical Data, page 3 .

Setup

Mount only to walls that have a sufficient load-bearing capacity

Place the grab handle in the desired position against the wall, examples shown in Fig. 4 & 5, and mark the mounting points using a scribing tool (Fig. 6).
Use a drill to make suitably sized holes at the points marked on the wall (Fig. 7).
Fix the grab handle to the wall using the included wall mounting kit (Fig. 8). A wall mounting kit is not included for model H320/1.
Only for H140 – H142: Place the screw covering caps on the fixing elements (Fig. 9).
Grip the grab handle with one hand and carry out the desired body movement (Fig. 4 & 5).

This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning and disinfection instructions are adhered to.

Cleaning and Disinfection

Take precautions for yourself and use appropriate protective equipment.

NOTICE!
Wrong fluids or methods can harm or damage
the product.

All cleaning agents and disinfectants used must be effective, compatible with one another and must protect the materials they are used to clean.
Never use corrosive fluids (alkalines, acid etc.) or abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend an ordinary household cleaning agent such as dishwashing liquid.
Never use a solvent (cellulose thinner, acetone etc.) that changes the structure of the plastic or dissolves the attached labels

For cleaning and disinfection in clinical or long-term care environments, follow your in-house procedures.

Cleaning Intervals

NOTICE!
Regular cleaning and disinfection enhances smooth operation, increases the service life and prevents contamination.

Clean and disinfect the product:

before first use,
regularly while it is in use,
when it has been in contact with any body fluids.

Cleaning

NOTICE!
Maximum cleaning temperature: – 60 °C by hand

Clean the product by wiping down all generally accessible surfaces.
Dry the parts with a cloth.

Disinfection Instructions

Method : Follow the application notes for the used disinfectant and wipe-disinfect all accessible surfaces.
Disinfectant : Ordinary household disinfectant.
Drying : Allow the product to air-dry.

After Use

Reconditioning

WARNING!
Risk of Falling Worn fastening elements can suddenly come loose and cause falling. Always use new wall plugs and bolts when repositioning the product.

This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product for a new user, carry out the following actions:

Disposal
Disassemble the product and its components, so the different materials can be separated and recycled individually. The disposal and recycling of used products and packaging must comply with the laws and regulations for waste handling in each country. Contact your local waste management company for information

The tube diameter of H140 – H142 is 35 mm, the oval shape of H320/1 is 40 mm x 28 mm *All product components are corrosion resistant and do not contain natural rubber latex.
