User Manual
WINTERIZING YOUR SPA
As mentioned in the owner’s manual, it is strongly recommended to use a
professional to close your spa to prevent any damage due to improper
winterizing.
Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for damages that may result
from a closure carried out by you or a technician.
Also, due to variable weather conditions during winter, water infiltration and
accumulation in the spa is always possible. This could cause freezing and
future damages.
INSTRUCTIONS:

Drain the hot tub using the drain valve and a garden hose;

Unplug the hot tub;

Remove the filter cover and the cartridge;

Remove the VGB suction cover off the bottom (depending on the model, you might have one or two covers);

Temporarily seal off VGB suction hose(s);

Close the jets;
-
Open the air valves;
-
Open the waterfall valve (optional on some hot tubs);
-
Using the vacuum cleaner, blow air into the filter connection;

Open the jets one at a time to allow water to drain (after opening each jet, it is important to close it to channel the air pressure);
REQUIRED TOOL
Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner (like a 4HP or 6 HP Shop-Vac) -
Temporarily seal off the filter cover;

Unseal the VGB suction hose(s);

Using the vacuum cleaner, aspirate the VGB suction hose(s);

Open all the jets and aspirate each of them well using the vacuum cleaner;

Remove the plug, open the valve of the drain hose and vacuum the water;
-
Cover the spa with an airtight cover to prevent snow or water from seeping inside;
It is very important to always remove snow from the surface of the cover,
throughout the winter.
Different winterizing processes are possible, some using antifreeze. Please
contact your spa dealer for more information.
