InnovaSpa Error Codes DR, DY or LF When Starting SPA
Product Information
The product in question is a spa that may display error codes DR, DY, or LF when starting up. These error codes indicate the presence of air in the spa lines, which can prevent the spa from functioning correctly. To remove air from the spa lines, users must follow a few simple steps.
Product Usage Instructions
- Unplug the spa from its power source.
- Locate the spa panel where the pump is located. This panel is typically located in front of the spa, under the keypad.
- Using a tool, unscrew the white ring on the pump. A picture may be provided in the user manual to help locate this ring.
- Water should start to come out of the pump when the ring is unscrewed. Tighten the ring back into place once water begins to flow steadily. This indicates that all air has been removed from the spa lines.
- Plug the spa back in and start it up. The PR code should appear on the keypad, indicating that the spa is ready for use.
If users have any questions about this process, they can contact the product’s service department using the provided phone number: (00-+1)-450-565-5544 ext 226 or 227.
ERROR CODES DR, DY OR LF WHEN STARTING THE SPA
HOW DO I REMOVE AIR FROM THE SPA LINES?
- To fill you spa, remove the cover and the filter cartridge by turning it counter clockwise. Put your garden hose into the threaded hole where the filter cartridge is located and begin to fill your spa through this opening. If your source of water contains metal, such as iron, we recommend attaching a filter to the garden hose. This will help remove metals from the water and facilitate start up. Always refer to the detailed procedure in the owner’s manual for the quick start up of your spa.
- When filling your spa, air can enter your pump, preventing water from circulating. Error codes such as DR, DY or LF may appear on your keypad. Here is the procedure to follow to solve the problem:
- Unplug the spa;
- Open the spa panel where the pump is located (on most of our models, this is the panel located in front of the spa, under the keypad);
- Unscrew the white ring on the pump (see picture);
- Tighten the ring when water starts to come out, which means there is no more air in the lines;
- Plug and start the spa.
The PR code should appear on the keypad.
