FSR SW-DB Data Only Device Box
Product Information
The SW-DB Data Only Device Box is an electrical box designed to provide data
connectivity to various devices. It is classified as CTS/DTS 3.102 Flushfloor,
3.103 Onfloor, 6.101.1 Dry-Treatment Only, 6.2.6 10J Impact 6.102.3 1,000 N
Small Surface Load, and 6.4.1 Non-Flame Propagating, ensuring its safe and
efficient use in different environments. The product has a compartment volume
of 38.5 cu. in., with a minimum storage temperature of -25°C and an
installation/application temperature range of 15°C to 60°C. The SW-DB Data
Only Device Box must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance
with all national and local electrical codes and communications standards.
The product includes a box chassis, cover plate, mounting plate, and end caps
with supplied screws. The raceway base, end kit, and raceway base edge
(included with the raceway base) must be installed first if mounting the box
on the raceway base end. Screws to secure the box to the raceway base must be
a minimum of two and a maximum of four. The decorator-style unit and hardware
are sold separately from the product.
CAUTION : Ensure the edge of the raceway cover is deburred. Use low-
voltage devices only.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the SW-DB Data Only Device Box is installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical codes and communications standards.
- If mounting the box on the raceway base end, install the end kit and raceway base edge before installing the box chassis.
- Install the box chassis to the raceway base.
- Make wiring connections as required.
- Install decorator-style units to the mounting plate.
- Install the cover plate and end caps with the supplied screws, ensuring that the edge of the raceway cover is deburred.
Note : The decorator-style unit and hardware are sold separately from the product.
Installation Instructions
For installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical codes and communications standards. Adhere to the following instructions and any instructions included with the individual raceway components.
- Install box chassis to raceway base. The end kit & raceway base edge must be installed first if the mounting box on the raceway base end.
- Make wiring connections as required, and install decorator-style units to the mounting plate.
- Install cover plate and end caps with supplied screws.
