Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor User Manual

Product Info

The Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor is a motorized device that can be used to control the opening and closing of Venetian blinds. It comes with a module connection wire for installation and requires a DC12V/2A adapter for power. The motor has a torque of 0.8N.m and a speed of 30Rpm. It also comes with an external Zigbee module for easy integration with a smart home system.

Installation

To install the Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor, follow these steps:

1. Connect the module connection wire to the motor.
2. Connect the DC12V/2A adapter to the power supply.
3. Insert the Zigbee module to the motor module connection wire.

Power Options

The Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor requires a DC12V/2A adapter for power.

Caution!

Do not use an adapter with a power output of less than 12V/1A or a power box with a power output of less than 12V/1A. The motor comes with a JCV 24 S AE D 08 30 Z AC Motor 24:25mm S:Standard

Instructions

To use the Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor, follow these instructions:

1. Pairing Motor with Controller:
   • After the motor is powered on for more than 10s, pairing can be done.
   • Note: Pairing cannot be done under group channel or 0 channel.
2. Direction Reverse:
   • Press and hold the Pairing button for 6s, jog twice to show that the motor RF control is inactive.
   • Press and hold the Pairing button for 2s to activate the RF control again.
3. Upper & Lower Limits Setting:
   • Set the upper and lower limits of the motor.
   • Note: The favorite position setting can only be done after the upper and lower limits are set.
4. One-touch/Constant-touch Mode:
   • Select one-touch or constant-touch mode.
5. Setting and Cancelling Favorite Position:
   • Set or cancel the favorite position.
6. Hot key to the Fav. Position:
   • Use a hot key to go to the favorite position.
7. Adjusting Upper & Lower Limits:
   • Adjust the upper and lower limits of the motor.
8. Adjusting Motor Speed:
   • Adjust the speed of the motor.
   • Note: If the motor doesn’t jog, the max/min speed has already been reached. There are 3 speeds adjustable.
9. Removing Controllers:
   • To remove a single controller, use a pre-existing controller A to remove controller B.
   • Note: All settings are saved even when controllers are removed (limits set are saved). Controller A/B are already paired to the motor.
10. Cancelling Limits:
    • Cancel the limits.
    • Note: It is forbidden to run the motor if it is installed into the shade without limits. Limits should be set immediately to protect the shade.

Installation & Connecting to external Zigbee module network

To connect the Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor to an external Zigbee module network, follow these steps:

1. Download the Smart Life APP.
2. Add the Tuya Zigbee gateway device to the Smart Life APP.
3. Make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
4. Insert the Zigbee module to the motor module connection wire.

Troubleshooting

If you experience any issues with the Venetian Blind Zigbee Motor, try adding a controller or poking the pairing button twice to activate the motor.

Caution

1. This product is for indoor use only, do not use outdoor or in humid environments.

2. Power supply: adapter 12V/2A,power box 12V/1A.

3. The motor will jog in operation, please do not proceed to the next step until it complete.

4. During operation, the effective interval of the transmitter button operation is 10 seconds.
   If there is no effective transmitter operation for more than 10 seconds, it will automatically exit the current mode.

5. The motor can be paired with max 10 controllers.

6. Upper&Lower limits cannot be set at the same position. limits saved even power off.

7. The motor runs constantly for at 6 mins max without any other operation.

8. Do not lift the motor by grabbing and pulling the power wire or the antenna.

Note: Upper&Lower limits cannot be set at the same point. Before limits set, the motor will run in one-touch mode by pressing Up or Down, hold Up or Down for 2s, motor runs in constant-touch mode.
Once limits set, press Up or Down, motor runs in constant-touch mode.

One-touch/Constant-touch Mode

Same operation can toggle from one-touch to constant -touch mode.
Note: When motor in one-touch mode, hold Up or Down for more than 2s, it will run in constant-touch mode.

*Connection requirement

a. Make sure the phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network
b. The Tuya Zigbee gateway device needs to be added to the “Smart Life” APP firstly, please refer to its manual for details.

Download APP

• Search “Smart Life” in the app store or scan the QR code
• Complete account registration and login to the app

Add Device

• POWER ON insert Zigbee module to motor module connection wire

• * Wait for 10s to see if the indicator is blinking

  • If indicator didn’t blink, pls try:
    Method 1: Long insert RESET button until indicator blinking, motor’s ready to Zigbee connection

Note: You can try Method 2 if it is not easy to insert RESET on module
Method 2: Short Press Pr on back of controller, motor jogs once; short press Down, motor jogs once, then short press UP, motor jogs once and blue indicator blinks which means motor enters Ziabee connection status.

• Find the added Tuya Zigbee gateway on the “Smart Life” App, click “+ to add a subdevice, and then click “LED already blink”, the APP will automatically search for motor device

• After adding successfully, click “ ” to modify the device name

• The Zigbee module indicator is always on after successful network connection.

• Enter the main interface to control the operation of the venetian blind.
