No Spark Mow Ball Kit 99944400001

The No Spark Mow Ball Kit 99944400001 is designed for use with Echo trimmer models WT-1610, WT-1610T, WT-1610HSP, and WT-1610SP. The kit includes a mow ball that can be installed on the trimmer to prevent sparks while mowing in areas with flammable materials. This kit is intended to promote safety and reduce the risk of fire.

Product Usage Instructions

Removal

1. Remove the front cover.
2. Place a 9/16 wrench on top of the trimmer shaft and rotate the shaft until the wrench engages the trimmer body.
3. Twist the mow ball counterclockwise (viewed from below) to remove.
4. Note: If the existing mow ball is difficult to remove, the use of a strap wrench or oil filter style wrench may help in loosening it.

Installation

There are two installation options:

Option 1: Use with existing trimmer plate

1. Install the trimmer line using either method shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
2. Install front cover.

Option 2: Use without existing trimmer plate

1. Install the trimmer line using either method shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
2. For best results, use a .155 diameter line.
3. Install front cover.

Operation

1. Wear safety glasses and proper clothing to protect feet, legs, and other exposed body parts during the operation.
2. Keep the wheels grounded at all times to prevent undue pressure on the trimmer head, which could result in personal injury.

Remove the front cover. Place a 9/16” wrench on top of the trimmer shaft. Rotate the shaft until the wrench engages the trimmer body.
Twist the mow ball counterclockwise (viewed from below) to remove.
NOTE: If the existing mow ball is difficult to remove, the use of a strap wrench or oil filter style wrench may help in loosening it.

OPTION 1

• The No Spark Mow Ball can be used in conjunction with the existing trimmer plate. Install the trimmer line using either method shown below (Figure 1 and Figure 2). Install front cover.

OPTION 2 The No Spark Mow Ball can also be used by itself. Install the trimmer line using either method shown below (Figure 1 and Figure 2). For best results use a .155 diameter line. Install front cover.
