User Manual

UNPACKING

  • Unpack and carefully examine the product.
  • Report any damage and save all packing materials if any part(s) were damaged during shipping.
  • Do not attempt to install or use this equipment if it is damaged.

  • Failure to follow these instructions or altering equipment could result in injury or damage and void warranty. Venture assumes no liability for injury, damages or losses of any kind that may arise from the improper, careless, or negligent installation, handling or use of this product.
  • This equipment must be installed and serviced per applicable codes and ordinances by qualified personnel (ex. licensed electrician) familiar with the operation of the product and any hazards involved.
  • Disconnect power to the equipment and allow to cool before installing or servicing.
  • Handle sharp edges with care. To prevent wiring damage, do not expose wiring to sharp edges.
  • Verify that all electrical connections have been properly made and the fixture is grounded to avoid potential electrical shocks.
  • It is the installers responsibility to confirm the proper input voltage is used with this equipment.
  • Do not handle energized equipment when hands are wet, when standing on wet surfaces, or in water.
  • This fixture must be mounted securely to a structure to support the weight.

SUPPLIER’S DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY (SDoC)

  • This equipment complies with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 Subpart B of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial, industrial, or business environment.
  • This equipment complies with the limits for a Class A lighting equipment, pursuant to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s CAN ICES-005 (A) / NMB-005 (A).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Operating temperature: -40°C to +40°C (-40°F to +104°F).
  • Suitable for use in wet locations.
  • Fixture is for outdoor use and should not be used in areas of limited ventilation or high-ambient temperature.
  • All wiring and connectors used with this equipment shall be rated a minimum of 105°C (221°F).

Installation Using U-Bracket

  1. Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or maintenance.
  2. Remove existing luminaire. Dispose of the lamp(s) and ballast(s) per local requirements.
  3. Use the screws (5) provided with the u-bracket accessory to attach the u-bracket to the fixture.
  4. Mount the fixture to the preferred surface.
  5. Connect the fixture input leads to the supply lead wires.
  6. Install the shorting cap (or photocell) into the twist-lock receptacle on top of the fixture.
  7. Loosen the u-bracket side bolts to aim the fixture as desired, then re-tighten the bolts to ensure the fixture stays in the desired position.
  8. Power can now be restored to the fixture.

Installation Using Slipfitter

  1. Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or maintenance.
  2. Remove the existing luminaire. Dispose of the lamp(s) and ballast(s) per local requirements.
  3. Attach the slipfitter accessory onto the back of the fixture.
  4. Route the wiring (1) through the slipfitter (4) and then into the pole (2).
  5. Tighten the set of 4 screws (3) to secure the fixture in place.
  6. Connect the fixture input lead wires to the supply lead wires.
  7. Install the shorting cap (or photocell) into the twist-lock receptacle on top of the fixture.
  8. To aim the fixture as desired, remove the 2 screws (7), loosen the bolt (5), adjust the fixture as desired, then tighten the bolt (5) to ensure the fixture stays in the desired position. Reinstall the 2 screws (7) and plate.
  9. Restore power to the fixture.

Installation Using Straight Arm

  1. Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or maintenance.
  2. Remove the existing luminaire. Dispose of the lamp(s) and ballast(s) per local requirements.
  3. Loosen the 4 screws (1) on the fixture cover (2).
  4. Attach the arm (4) accessory onto the fixture with the hardware provided (5).
  5. Route the supply wire leads through the arm (4).
  6. Connect the supply input wire leads to the fixture input leads.
  7. Reinstall the cover onto the fixture.
  8. Mount the fixture to the preferred surface and tighten the fasteners (7 and 8) to secure in place.
  9. Insall the shorting cap (or photocell) into the twist-lock receptacle on top of the fixture.
  10. Restore power to the fixture.
