product

Product Information

The UV9-WATT / UV13-WATT is a filter designed to produce clean and clear water by circulating water through the filter and exposing it to UV light. It features an inlet/outlet on each end, and the flow direction can be either way. The maximum pressure is 5 PSI (12′ lift). The product includes a UV Cap with power cord, Cap O-ring, Quartz glass assembly, 9 or 13-watt UV bulb (G23 2 pin), Enclosure housing, Outlet/Inlet O-rings, and Straight adapters require Teflon thread tape for seal. The capacity ratings are a 9-watt-max 650-gallon pond, max flow of 325 gph, and a 13-watt-max 1200-gallon pond, max flow of 600 gph.

The product requires maintenance, which includes wiping the Quartz sleeves with a clean cloth and rinsing with clean water four times a year. The UV bulb should be replaced once every year for optimal water clarity, and a thin layer of Vaseline should be added to the gasket when the UV bulb is changed to prevent moisture from entering the quartz sleeve. The UV should be winterized by removing all plugs from the electrical outlets, allowing it to thoroughly cool, and wiping each part within the unit with a dry clean cloth.

The product comes with a limited warranty. For UV9/UV13 Filter, the warranty period is 1 year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the inlet/outlet of the filter to the pump (not included) using straight adapters that require Teflon thread tape for the seal.
  2. Ensure that the flow direction is correct. It can be either way.
  3. Plug in the UV Cap with a power cord to a power source.
  4. Turn on the pump to circulate water through the filter.
  5. Perform maintenance by wiping the Quartz sleeves with a clean cloth and rinsing them with clean water four times a year. Replace the UV bulb once every year for optimal water clarity, and add a thin layer of Vaseline to the gasket when changing the UV bulb to prevent moisture from entering the quartz sleeve.
  6. Winterize the UV by removing all plugs from the electrical outlets, allowing it to thoroughly cool, and wiping each part within the unit with a dry clean cloth.
