INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES

  1. Select a site that gets direct sunlight and is not blocked by trees, buildings, structures etc.
  2. Confirm that no light sources will shine on the solar panel during the night time hours. The solar panel functions like a photo-cell. If there is light on the solar panel, the LED lights will not come on.
  3. The light needs 1-2 days to get on the proper charge/discharge cycle. Do not expect the best performance the first nights that the light is in operation.

INSTALLATION

  1. Confirm that the pole is strong enough to support EPA 1.0 SF, and a weight of 15 lbs. If any extreme, or abnormal conditions exist, please take these into account.
  2. Carefully remove light from packaging. Be careful not to damage the solar panel. Never place the solar panel or an uneven or rocky surface. Place it on a flat surface with a towel, blanket or other type of soft material for protection.
  3. Remove any protective film or coverings from the light.
  4. Attach the bracket to the light fixture using the 4 screws.
  5. Place the light on the tenon or pole. A 3” pole or tenon is recommended.
  6. Tighten down the lock screws.
  7. Ensure that the light is on by pressing the power button (see picture on page 2).
  8. Ensure that the batteries are installed in the remote control and any plastic battery blockers are removed.
  9. Press the “On” button on the remote to ensure that the fixture turns on, and then set the desired mode using the remote control.

OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS

REMOTE CONTROL

  1. The remote control allows the program to be adjusted to provide multiple modes of operation.
  2. There is a low battery over-ride that will dim the light if it hits a certain threshold. If the light dims frequently, then choose another program with lower power usage.
  3. The remote control range is about 25 feet.

MAINTENANCE

  1. For best performance and safety, please ensure that there is a program to routinely check the light. In particular, the solar panel must be clean, as well as the lenses for the LED light.
  2. Check that the pole, slip-fitter mounting, etc. are tight, and in good condition.
