WARNING
The National Electric Code requires that a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter be
used. GFCI-type electrical outlets are commonly found at most hardware and
home center stores. To prevent water from running down the cord into the
electrical outlet, the cord should be shaped into a loop below the electrical
outlet, to form a “drip loop”. This pump is supplied with a grounding
conductor and grounding-type attachment plug. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, be certain that it is connected only to a properly grounded, grounding-
type receptacle. The grounding pin of the plug should never be removed. The
pump should be operated only at the voltage shown on the pump label. Operate
pump only in fresh water at temperatures of less than 86ºF as noted in the
warranty.
