LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL
The LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL is a LED tube suitable for replacement of T8
fluorescent tubes. It has a G13 base and can be operated with high-frequency
(HF) electronic control gear (ECG) or mains voltage.
The product is compatible with specific ECGs listed at TUBE FINDER Web app

The instruction contains important information and notes regarding the installation and operation of the LED TUBE UNIVERSAL. LED tube is suitable as replacement for T8 fluorescent lamps with G13 bi-pin bases. LED TUBE UNIVERSAL can be fitted as a replacement into luminaires operating on electronic control gear (HF), electromagnetic control gear (EM) or main voltage (220-240V). The operating temperature range of LED TUBE T8 UN is restricted. In case of doubt regarding suitability of the application the manufacturer of this lamp should be consulted. Please find and measure Tc points and max Tc temperatures marked on the product for CCG, Mains and ECG operation. In case of multi-lamp luminaire application measure Tc max temperature of all installed lamps. Please use a flexible thermosensor (e.g. “Type K”). Please find additional temperature relevant information at product datasheet.
Starter Test: Check if there is a starter in the luminaire.
Camera Test: Examine with a smart phone camera.

- a) ECG is compatible: Go to 1. Installations on HF (ECG) compatible ballast
- b) ECG is not compatible: Go to 2. Installations on Mains (without ballast)
- c) Luminaire has a electromagnetic control gear (CCG): Go to 3. Installation on EM (CCG) ballast

The temperature range of LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL is more restricted. In case of doubt regarding the suitability of the application the manufacturer of this lamp should be consulted.

LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL emits light only with a limited beam angle, not like a fluorescent tube with 360° output. Due to the characteristic light distribution of the LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL , the resulting luminaire light characteristic is likely to change.

The LED TUBE T8 UNIVERSAL is designed for general lighting application (excluding for example explosive atmosphere).

Installations on HF (ECG) compatible ballast
Installations on Mains (without ballast)
Installations on Mains (without ballast). Cut wires and remove ballast and follow below instructions.
Warning! The fixture electrical circuit / wiring has been modified and
can no longer operate the originally specified T8 Fluorescent lamp. Use only
LEDVANCE LED TUBE
UNIVERSAL T8. Please mark luminiare with modification sticker. For AC mains
application adding fuse 2A T is recommended.
Installation on EM (CCG) ballast
The existing starter in the luminaire must be replaced with the LED starter
UNIVERSAL included in the packaging. Since only lamp and starter are replaced,
there is no
constructive modification to the luminiare. This lamp may not be suitable for
use in all applications where a traditional fluorescent lamp has been used.
The temperature range
of this lamp is more restricted. In cases of doubt regarding the suitability
of the application the manufacturer of this lamp should be consulted. Not
usable in tandem circuitry.
