Before You Begin

Read These Instructions Completely and Carefully

WARNING
Risk of electric shock

Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or maintenance. Contact a qualified electrician for installation.
Risk of fire or electric shock. LED retrofit kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
Warning – To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals. Instead, installers should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make 6 electrical connections to the lamp holder lead wires by employing applicable connectors.
This retrofit kit is accepted as a component of a luminaire where the suitability of the combination shall be determined by authorities having jurisdiction.
This device is not intended for use with emergency exits. Added weight of the device may cause instability of a free standing portable luminaire. Use only with a portable table lamp that is provided with a shade.
This device is not intended for use with dimmers.
This device is suitable for enclosed fixtures, however ensure that there is adequate space around the device for heat dissipation.
The modified fixture can no longer operate as was originally intended.
Retrofit lamps require 100V-277V input voltage. The installer is responsible to determine whether the proper voltage is run to the luminaire being serviced.
Retrofit lamps operate on line voltage and require all ballasts, capacitors and starters to be bypassed and/or removed.

Upgrade Instructions

STEP 1: Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or
maintenance.
STEP 2: Remove the existing lamp(s). Dispose of the lamp(s) per local requirements.
STEP 3: Disconnect and remove the existing ballast, capacitor and ignitor. Dispose of the components per local requirements. STEP 4: Connect the Line Live wire (Line/Hot) to the center contact (eyelet) of the lamp holder.
STEP 5: Connect Line Neutral wire (Common) to the shell of the lamp holder.
STEP 6: Insert and screw in the LED Retrofit lamp into the lamp holder. Rotate the lamp so that lamp lens is oriented towards the fixture lens. (Figure 1)
STEP 7: Attach one end of the safety cable to the lamp and the opposite end of the safety cable to the enclosure. (Figure 2) STEP 8: Attach the Lamping Replacement Label which is provided with the retrofit lamp to the fixture so it shall be visible during relamping.
STEP 9: Close the wiring compartment. Watch to be sure the wires are not pinched, bound or crimped when closing the compartment.
STEP 10: Switch on the power.

For 54W LED Retrofit lamps

Note: It is the customer’s repsonsibility to verify that the lamp compartment meets the minimum required lamp compartment dimensions of 4.9” x 10.0” (125mm x 255mm).

For 115W LED Retrofit lamps
