Product Information

The DJI Pilot 2 is a software that helps users unlock No-Flight-Zones for their aircraft. This product requires an internet connection during the unlocking process and a DJI account to submit the unlock request. The user must ensure that the remote controller and the aircraft are updated to the latest firmware version before proceeding with the unlock process.

Usage Instructions

  1. Power on the remote controller and the aircraft. Ensure that the remote controller is linked to the aircraft successfully.
  2. Launch DJI Pilot 2 on your device.
  3. Click on the profile icon in the top left corner of the screen and then click `Geo Zone Unlocking’. Make sure you are logged in with the DJI account used while submitting your unlock request.
  4. Refresh the No-Flight-Zones database by clicking on the Refresh’ icon in the top right corner. You will see at least one new unlocking package under theRefresh icon.’ Click `Details.’
  5. Import all unlocking licenses into the aircraft by clicking `Import All.’
  6. Activate the unlocking certificates by toggling the switch and confirm that you are authorized to fly and accept full responsibility for your flight.
  7. (Optional) After activating the unlocking certificates, view the Map in the bottom left corner of DJI Pilot 2 to see the unlocked area indicated by a green zone (only for Circle and Polygone licenses).

Note:
You can only fly your aircraft within the green zone while the unlocking certificate is activated. To fly outside of the green zone, deactivate the unlocking certificate. If you have any questions or problems during the unlocking procedure, please send an email to flysafe@dji.com.

Note:
Internet connection is required during steps 1 to 5. Please prepare these in advance if there is no internet connection in the unlocking area.

Connection

  • STEP 1
    Power on the remote controller and the aircraft. Make sure the remote controller has been linked to the aircraft successfully and then launch DJI Pilot 2.

  • STEP 2
    Make sure that the aircraft and remote controller are updated to the latest firmware version.

  • STEP 3
    In DJI Pilot 2 click on the ‘profile‘ icon in the top left corner. Then, click ‘Geo Zone Unlocking’.

  • STEP 4
    Refresh the NFZ database by clicking on the ‘Refresh’ icon in the top right corner. Then, you will see that there is, at least, one new unlocking package, under the ‘Refresh icon’. Click ‘Details’.dji-Pilot-2-No-Flight-Zones-fig-

  • STEP 5
    The unlocking licenses need to be imported into the aircraft. Click ‘Import All’.

Activate the unlocking certificates

Activate the unlocking certificates with the toggle, and confirm that you are authorized to fly and that you accept full responsibility for your flight.

After activating the unlocking certificates, tap to view the Map in the bottom left corner of DJI Pilot 2. The unlocked area will be indicated on the map by a green zone (only for Circle and Polygone licenses).

Note:
