HOW TO USE YOUR RICE COOKER
TO COOK RICE
Before use, remove all packaging and wash the inner rice pot, lid, measuring
cup and spatula in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before use. Please only
use plastic implements, such as the supplied spatula, with the rice cooker as
metal can damage the inner surfaces.
-
Place the cooker body on a flat and stable surface near an easily accessible power socket.
-
Place the inner rice pot into the base of the rice cooker. To ensure it’s properly fitted and in contact with the heating element, turn it to the right and then left.
-
Measure up to 10 cups of rice. Using a sieve wash the rice under running water until it runs clear (never wash the rice in the rice pot as the starch released will affect the cooker’s performance).
-
Once washed, place the rice into the inner rice pot and add water. For every cup of rice you add, we recommend between 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water using the measuring cup supplied. The exact amount of water depends on the type of rice being used.
-
The weight of the water and rice brings the pot into contact with the spring loaded base. Place the lid on top of the rice cooker.
-
Slot the plug into an electrical socket and switch the power on.
-
Push the switch on the rice cooker down so that the red cooking light illuminates. There% no timer device on the rice cooker and it will automatically go on to the warming cycle after cooking has finished.
-
Once the rice is cooked the power switch will automatically pop up (please don’t remove the lid).
-
The yellow light on the rice cooker will then come on and you should now leave the rice in the cooker for a further 10 minutes to finish the cooking cycle.
-
Before removing the inner rice pot, switch the power off at the socket and remove the plug.
-
The inner rice pot can now be carefully removed (as it may still be hot). Your rice may now be served.
TO STEAM
-
Add water to the inner cooking pot. You can steam food in the steamer tray while cooking rice at the same time, or use the cooker as a separate steamer. If using for steaming only, add at least 3 cups of water to the inner cooking pot.
-
Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker
-
Place food to be steamed onto the steamer tray. For best results, cut food into small even pieces and arrange in a single layer. Always ensure food S thoroughly cooked through before serving. The basket is ideal for steaming fresh vegetables and seafood.
-
Place the steam tray onto the rice cooker.
-
Place the tempered glass lid securely onto the rice cooker.
-
Plug the cord into an available outlet.
