IMPORTANT : Before using your toaster for the first time, place the toaster in a properly ventilated room and select the highest browning setting (8). 2. Press the + browning button to set the browning timer to number 8.

  4. When the countdown ends, the carriage handle will pop up and the toaster will go into standby mode (the display will switch off).

  5. Allow the toaster to cool, then repeat.

  6. When no more odor is emitted the toaster is ready for use.

Use Your Toaster

  1. Check that the crumb tray at the back of the toaster is fully inserted, then slot one or two slices of bread into the bread slots in the top of the toaster.

  2. Slot the plug on the toaster into a power socket and switch on.

  3. Select the browning setting that you prefer using the + and – browning buttons. You may want to start at setting 3 and then adjust to your taste (bread may be slightly more toasted when only toasting one slice or when using it for extended periods of time).
IMPORTANT: In order to maintain the best browning performance the toasting time will decrease automatically if you continue to use the toaster within 5 minutes of the last toast cycle finishing.

  4. 4. Press the carriage to handle down until it locks into place and the timer on the display starts to count down. The light around the bottom of the toaster will illuminate to let you know toasting has begun. Once the bread has been toasted the carriage handle will automatically spring back up and can be lifted slightly further upward to easily remove the toast.

  5.  If you want to stop toasting at any point, just press the Power button and the carrying handle will spring up. You can also adjust the browning level during use by pressing the + or -button. Please don’t try to manually force the carriage to handle up as this could damage the toaster.

  6. Frozen bread can still be toasted. Simply set the toaster to the desired browning setting then press the Defrost button and the time will automatically be adjusted. Press the carriage handle down to start the toasting process.

  7. For reheating cold toasted items, just place the items into the bread slots and press the Reheat button and push the carriage handle down.
Note: You do not need to select a browning setting as the reheat function has a preset time that is not adjustable.

Prevent the bread from getting stuck

This appliance has a function to prevent the bread from getting stuck in the bread slots If the bread gets stuck in the slots and the carriage handle does not spring upwards, the power will automatically disconnect after the preset cooking time. In the unlikely event that the bread or crumpet becomes jammed, switch the toaster off at the power outlet, remove the plug from the supply socket and carefully take the bread out of the toaster, ensuring that you do not damage the element.

Cleaning your toaster

Make sure the toaster is disconnected from the power and is completely cool.

  1.  Use a damp cloth to clean the outside (don’t use abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface of the toaster or metal polish). NEVER IMMERSE THE TOASTER IN WATER.
  2.  You should regularly pull out the crumb tray at the back of the toaster and dispose of the contents. This should be done once a week if the toaster is used regularly. Always make sure the tray is inserted back in properly before using the toaster.
  3.  To clean the inside of the toaster, turn it upside down and shake the crumbs out of it.
  4.  When not in use or when placed in storage, the power cord should be wound under the bottom of the toaster.
