Product Information

The Hypervolt 2 is a portable handheld massage device that helps to reduce muscle soreness and stiffness. The device comes with interchangeable head attachments and speed indicators. It is equipped with pressure sensor indicators and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2500mAh. The device has three frequency levels of 2000/33Hz, 2350/40Hz, and 2700/45Hz respectively. It weighs 1.8 lbs/0.82kg and comes with an AC-DC charger (100-240V – 50/60Hz 0.7A – 18.0V 1.0A 18.0 W).

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Read all instructions before using the Hypervolt 2.
  2. Press the power/speed setting button to turn on the device.
  3. Select the desired frequency level using the speed indicators (Level 1 – 2000/33 Hz, Level 2 – 2350/40 Hz, Level 3 – 2700/45 Hz).
  4. Select the desired head attachment and attach it to the device.
  5. Place the device on the desired muscle area and apply pressure as needed.
  6. Check the battery level indicator (LED band) to monitor the battery level. When the battery is low, connect the device to the charging port using the AC-DC charger.
  7. After use, turn off the device and detach the head attachment for cleaning.
  8. Save these instructions for future reference.

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

  • Always unplug this device from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
  • Do not reach for a device that has fallen into the water. Unplug immediately.

  • Do not place or store the device where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:

  • A device should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Use this device only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Never operate this device if it has a damaged cord or plug if it is not working properly if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has gotten wet. Return the device to a service center for examination and repair.
  • Do not carry this device by supply cord or use the cord as a handle.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Never operate the device with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, or any substance which may impair the flow of air.
  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not operate where aerosol (spray) devices are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  • Never operate on a soft surface such as a bed or couch where the air openings may be blocked.
  • Do not use the device in close proximity to loose clothing or jewelry.
  • Keep long hair away from the device while in use.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
  • Do not remove screws or attempt to disassemble.
  • Do not operate continuously for more than one hour. After one hour use, allow the device to rest for 30 minutes before re-using.
  • Unplug the device after charging and prior to use.
  • Use the device only according to Operating Instructions.
  • When using the Hypervolt 2 use only on dry, clean surfaces of the body by lightly pressing and moving across the body for approximately sixty60) seconds per region. The Hypervolt 2 should only be used on soft tissue areas of the body and should not be used on any hard or bony areas of the body, including the head. Please immediately stop the use of the Hypervolt 2 upon experiencing any pain or discomfort, apart from light muscle soreness. Bruising can occur from use of the Hypervolt 2, regardless of the pressure setting, and if bruising does occur you should not use the Hypervolt 2 on the bruised area until the bruise is fully healed. Use of the Hypervolt 2 should also be avoided on all bruises, contusions, rashes or irritated or injured areas of the skin until they are fully healed. When using the Hypervolt 2 be sure to keep fingers, toes, hair, and other body parts away from the back of the attachment head to avoid pinching or hair entanglement. DL K The Hypervolt 2 should only be charged with the double insulated, 18VDC Hyperice charger (model number MX24Z2-1801000) that was supplied with the device. Do not charge the Hypervolt 2 overnight or leave the Hypervolt 2 unattended when charging or in use. Please do not use the Hypervolt 2, or any percussion device without first obtaining approval from your physician if any of the following apply:
  • Pregnancy, diabetes with complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, wear of pacemakers, recent surgery or injury, epilepsy or migraines, herniated disks, spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis, or spondylosis, recent joint replacements or IUD, metal pins or plates or any concerns about your physical health. Frail individuals and children should be accompanied by an adult when using any percussion or vibration device. These contraindications do not mean that you are not able to use a percussion or vibration device but we advise that before doing so you consult your physician. Ongoing research is being done on the effects of percussion massage for specific medical disorders that may result in the shortening of the list of contraindications as shown above.

The Hypervolt 2 contains a battery that must be complied with safely at appropriate e-waste disposal or recycling facility. This device contains batteries that are non-replaceable.

CAUTION The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100º C or incinerate. Dispose of the used battery promptly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

The Hypervolt 2 is a handheld percussion massage device that delivers targeted pulses of pressure to care for muscles, relieve tension, provide a relaxing massage, accelerate warmup and recovery, and help maintain flexibility and range of motion.

Operating

Turn your Hypervolt 2 ON by pressing the power/speed setting button for three seconds. Once your device is powered ON the battery level indicator (LED band at the base of the handle will illuminate. Press the power/ speed setting button again to select speed one. Your Hypervolt 2 is now ready for use. Change speeds (1-3) by pressing the power/speed setting button once per speed. The lights will indicate the current speed.

Changing head attachments

Only change attachments after the speed setting is turned to off and the head attachment stopped moving. To change head attachments, pull the existing head attachment straight out to remove and insert the desired head directly into the opening while pushing firmly. For the Forkhead attachment align the tab on the fork with the groove on the opening and push firmly.

Charging

Fully charge the battery for up to four hours before first use. To charge, connect the DC end of the supplied 18V charger to the charging port on the bottom of the handle and plug the charger into a wall outlet. The LED light band will pulsate to show the battery level and indicate active charging. The LED light band colors correspond to the charge level ranging from red (low) to green (fully charged. Full charge is indicated when the LED band remains green and fully illuminated. The battery may be recharged at any time and at any battery level. It is not recommended to fully deplete the battery to the red LED level. The average runtime is 2+ hours depending on speed level and pressure applied during use.

Cleaning and storage

Make sure the power is OFF and the battery charger is not attached. Use a damp, clean, cloth and gently wipe your Hypervolt 2. Store in a clean, cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight, when not in use.

Connecting to the Hyperice App

To connect your device to the Hyperice App via Bluetooth® make sure that your device is turned on, Bluetooth® is turned on in your phone, and your device is within close proximity. Select a routine within the Hyperice App and if prompted tap “Scan for Devices.” Select your device when it pops up on the screen. HyperSmart™ will automatically start your device and adjust the speed and intensity as you follow along with the routine.
