Kopul PSI-USB – USB to Audio Direct Box
Product Information
The Kopul PSI-USB is a passive direct box that converts your computer’s digital audio to a balanced analog signal that can be sent to a PA system or a broadcast or mixing console. It is powered by your computer’s USB port and has transformer isolated balanced stereo XLR outputs, and high resolution digital to analog converters that deliver superior sound quality that’s free of noise, RF and EM interference, and ground hum. The device is simple to connect to your system and gives you the option of outputting a stereo or two-channel mono signal.

Precautions
Before making any audio connections, make sure your computer audio is not playing and the audio system’s volume is turned down.
Making Audio Connections
Use the included USB-A to USB-B cable to connect the PSI-USB to a computer. If your computer has only a USB-C port available, use a USB-C to USB-A adapter to make the connection.
Use balanced 3-pin XLR cables to output the analog audio signal from the PSI- USB to a PA system, mixing console, or recorder.
Computer Audio Settings
To route your computer’s audio to the PSI-USB, follow these steps:
- Windows Computers:
1. Open Windows Settings.
2. Select System from the menu.
3. Select Sound from the menu bar.
4. Under the Output menu, click on the drop-down menu, and select USB Audio Device.
5. Close the Settings window.
- Mac Computers:
1. Open the System Preferences.
2. Select the Sound preferences.
3. Click on Output, and select USB Audio Device in the list.
4. Close the System Preferences window.
The Stereo/Mono Switch
Select Mono to sum the computer’s stereo signal to mono. The PSI-USB outputs two mono channels. This is useful if you’re using only one PA speaker, simultaneously sending the signal to two separate audio systems, or using two PA speakers placed far apart.
Select Stereo to output the computer audio on two channels. This is ideal for outputting a stereo mix or two discrete channels to two channels of a recorder or mixing board.
Connecting Computer Audio to a PA System
Use the PSI-USB to send your computer’s audio to a PA system. Connect the PSI- USB to the computer and use balanced 3-pin XLR cables to output the analog audio signal from the PSI-USB to a PA system.
Using Computer Audio for Recording
Send prerecorded or sequenced tracks to a mixing board or recorder. Connect the PSI-USB to the computer and use balanced 3-pin XLR cables to output the analog audio signal from the PSI-USB to a mixing board or recorder.
Adding Computer Audio to a Video Presentation
Use the PSI-USB to add narration or dialog to your video presentation. Connect the PSI-USB to the computer and use balanced 3-pin XLR cables to output the analog audio signal from the PSI-USB to a mixing board or recorder.

Making Audio Connections
Computer Audio – USB
Before making any audio connections, make sure your computer audio is not

to connect the PCI-USB to a computer. If your computer has only a USB-C port
available, use a USB-C to USB-A adapter to make the connection. The power
indicator will illuminate when the connection is made, and the PCI-USB will be
ready to use.

One-Year Limited Warranty
This KOPUL product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of
one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after
replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility
with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or
replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during
normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended
environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by
the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty
provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality
and function. This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse,
neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance.

obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the
defective product to Kopul along with the RMA number and proof of purchase.
