Symbols in this Instruction Manual
Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential
to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent
damage to the appliance:

General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions in cluding the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you pass the appliance on to a third party always include all the relevant documents.
- The appliance is intended for private use only and not for commercial use.
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose.
- Do not operate a damaged appliance.
- Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture (never immerse it in liquids) and sharp edges.
- Do not apply pressure to the appliance or drop it. This could damage the sensitive electronics.
- The kitchen scale is designed for a maximum weight of up to 5 kg (11.0 lb).
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
WARNING: Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil.There is a danger of suffocation!
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

Using the Appliance
Switching On
- Place the kitchen scale on a flat, smooth surface.
- Turn the control until the battery symbol displays fully charged (approx. 2 turns). All segments are briefly shown in the display.
Select Unit of Measurement
This kitchen scale measures in both mass units (g / oz / lb:oz) and volume
units (ml).
Milk and water have different weights if they have the same number of
millilitres. Therefore, you can display milk and water separately on this
scale.
MILK = Milk, WATER = Water
- Select the desired unit of measurement with the UNIT button on the bottom of the appliance.
- The appliance starts in the last unit of measurement selected.
- To select the appropriate unit of measurement, also refer to the table above “ Indications in the Display ”.
Weighing
- Maintain until the kitchen scale is at “ ”.
- Place the goods in the middle of the scale plate if possible.
- If the display stops, the measurement is complete.
- Now read off the measured value.
Tare Weight Function
You want to add another ingredient to your first ingredient and weigh it out?
- Press the TARE lettering.
- “ TARE ” appears in the display. The kitchen scale is reset to “ ”.
- If you now add more ingredients, their weight will be displayed.
Switching Off
When the symbol flashes, the appliance switches off automatically after about
30 seconds.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
- Do not immerse the appliance in water! This could destroy the electronics.
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Make sure that no moisture or liquid enters the appliance!
- You can use a commercially available washing-up liquid or a simple soap as an additive.
- After cleaning, dry the appliance well with a dry, soft cloth.
