Product Information
The M8 Softail License Plate Bracket KUS20501 is a product designed for Harley Davidson Softail motorcycles. It is manufactured by Kodlin and is intended to be used as a replacement or upgrade for the motorcycle’s existing license plate bracket. Product Usage Instructions

Installation Instructions
- Carefully lift and secure your motorcycle in preparation to remove the rear axle.
- Following manufactures guidelines remove the rear axle from the motorcycle.
- Remove the large axle spacer from the left pully side.
- Install the Kodlin bracket and new axle spacer. The bracket will go in against the frame with the spacer to the left pulley side.
- Reinstall the axle making sure the axle adjuster is in the notch and the bracket is as high as it can go. See picture #1.
- Follow the manufactures recommendations for belt adjustment and wheel alignment and torque axle to proper manufactures torque specifications.
- Verify the wheel will rotate smoothly without any interference.
- Install Kodlin’s Universal License Plate Frame onto the bracket using the two bolts, spacers, washers, and lock nuts provided.
- Insert the two bolts thru the backing plate, 1/8” spacers, and then the mounting bracket. Next install two washers and locknuts and tighten up. Make sure you have the backing plate aligned straight. See picture #2.
- Install Kodlin’s universal license plate frame and license according to the instruction provided in that kit.
Note: No warranty coverage is provided by Kodlin that is due to improper
installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic maintenance and inspection are
required. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all the
fasteners are tightened before the operation of the motorcycle. We recommend
following the Mfg.’s torque specs. Check belt tension for proper
tension.
