Getting started

  • Place your clock faces down on a soft, flat surface.
  • Connect the electrical cord to the wall outlet, or remove the battery cover and insert 4x new AA batteries and 4x new C batteries into the battery compartment, observing the correct “+” and “-“ polarity
  • Place the unit on a flat surface using the clock stand or mount the clock to a wall using the Wall Mount Hole at the back of the unit.

Reminder:

  • Before connecting the electrical cord to a power source, please make sure your local voltage is the same as marked on the adapter.
  • Alkaline batteries are recommended for optimal usage of this clock.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable batteries.

NOTE: When the electrical cord is connected and batteries are inserted, the power source will automatically switch power from the batteries to the external adapter.

Automatic Clock Set up: RCC WWVB Reception
NOTE: Slide the RCC switch to ON or OFF to turn RCC on or off.
When the RC function is set to ON:

After powering up, if the RCC switch is set to ON the clock will automatically start to synchronize with the WWVB radio wave signal. The Radio Control Icon will flash on the LCD.

The clock can be set to scan the time signal manually by holding the /WAVE button for 3 seconds.

Reminder:

  • Reception can take up to 10 minutes
  • The clock automatically synchronizes with the radio wave signal at 3.00 am every day to ensure accurate timing. If reception fails, the icon will disappear from the LCD.
  • You can stop the clock from automatically synchronizing by holding the / WAVE button for 2 seconds.

Manual Clock Set Up: RCC function is set to OFF

  • To change the clock time or Calendar, hold the CLOCK SET UP button for 3 seconds to enter Clock Set-Up Mode.
  • Press the + or – button to adjust the setting and press the CLOCK SET UP button to confirm each setting. (By keeping the + or – button pressed, you may fast forward through units)

Steps
Press the CLOCK SET UP button to toggle the display between “year” & “time”.
To enter Clock Set Up
Hold the CLOCK SET UP button for 3 seconds,
NOTE: Press and hold + or – to speed up the digits cycling.
Default = SET 12 OR 24HR CLOCK DISPLAY
“12HR” will flash. Press + or – to select 12HR 24HR. In 12 Hr mode, AM indicates morning time and PM indicates afternoon time.
Press 1x = SET HOUR
The hour digits will flash. Press + or – to set hours.
Press 2x = SET MINUTE
The minute digits will flash. Press + or – to set minutes. Press + or – to accelerate the setting at a fast speed.
Press 3x = SET SECONDS
The second digits will flash. Press + or – to reset seconds to zero
Press 4x = SET LANGUAGE OF WEEKDAY DISPLAY
“ENG” will flash. Press + or – to select the desired language ENGLISH (default) / FRENCH / SPANISH
Press 5x = SET YEAR
“2021” will flash. Press + or – to set a year.
Press 6x = SET DATE FORMAT
“M” “D” will flash. Press + or – to select D/M or M/D calendar display.
Press 7x = SET MONTH
The month’s digits will flash. Press + or – to set a month.
Press 8x = SET DAY
The day digits will flash. Press + or – to set a date.
Press 9x = EXIT CLOCK SETUP MODE
NOTE: If you do not press a button for 15 seconds the clock will automatically exit setup mode.

Time Zone
Slide TIME ZONE switches to select a time zone, time would be adjusted automatically according to different time zone, there is 8-time zone for selectable:

• Hawaii = HST
• Alaskan = AKST
• Pacific = PST
• Mountain = MST| • Central = CST
• Eastern = EST
• Atlantic = AST
• NST = NST

DST

  • Slide the DST switch to AUTO, if the RCC function is ON, and when the clock is in an area where the RC-WWVB signal can be received.
    NOTE: the DST icon will appear on the LCD during daylight saving time.

  • Slide the DST switch to “OFF” to turn off Daylight savings mode

  • Slide the DST switch to “ON”, and the time will change to daylight saving time automatically, no matter whether the RCC function is ON or OFF.
    NOTE: the DST icon will appear on the LCD.

Thermometer

Press **/ °C/°F button to select the temperature to display in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
NOTE:** LL.L (beyond the minimum temperature) or HH.H (beyond the maximum temperature) will be shown on the LCD, if the temperature is out of the measurable range.

Backlight / Auto backlight

  • Press the button on the front of the clock, to turn the backlight on for 10 seconds.

  • To turn on the auto backlight feature, slide the AUTO LIGHT switch to ON.
    When the light sensor detects the room getting dark, the backlight would automatically illuminates.

  • To turn off the auto backlight feature, slide the AUTO LIGHT switch to OFF.

Low battery indication
When the clock batteries are running low, the low battery icon will appear indicating that the batteries should be replaced.

Precautions

  • The clock loses its time information when the battery is removed.
  • Do not expose it to direct sunlight, extreme heat, cold, high humidity or wet areas
  • Never clean the device using abrasive or corrosive materials or products. Abrasive cleaning agents may scratch plastic parts and corrode electronic circuits
