Product Usage Instructions
- Choose a suitable location for the detector. It is recommended to install one detector on each floor of your home, especially near sleeping areas.
- If you are mounting the detector on the wall, use the provided screws and anchors to secure it in place. If you are using it as a free-standing device, place it on a stable surface in an upright position.
- Remove the battery tab to activate the device. The device will beep once and display “0” on the LCD screen.
- The device will automatically detect the presence of carbon monoxide gas and sound an alarm if the level reaches a dangerous level. The current CO level will be displayed on the LCD screen in Parts Per Million (PPM).
- To test the device, press and hold the test/silence button for 5 seconds. The device will emit a loud alarm sound and display “888” on the LCD screen. Release the button to stop the test.
- If the device emits an end-of-life warning sound, it is time to replace the device with a new one. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for proper disposal of the old device.
