Step 1. Connect the MX Revolution
- a) Plug the AC power cord into the back of the recharging station.
- b) Plug the Micro Receiver into an available USB port on your computer, keyboard, or display.
- c) Switch on the mouse and place it in the recharging station.
When all the LED lights are green, the MX Revolution is fully charged. (When an LED light turns red, return your mouse to the station for recharging.)

Step 2. Install the SetPoint Software
The Logitech SetPoint Software allows you to take advantage of all the cutting-edge features built into the MX Revolution.- a) Insert the SetPoint Software CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
- b) Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the installation. (If the installer does not start up automatically, double-click the Logitech icon on your desktop to start the installer.)
- Macintosh users: Download Logitech Control Center software from www.logitech.com/mxrevolution/software and follow the online instructions for installation.

Step 3. Customize Your MX Revolution with SetPoint
Use SetPoint to customize your MX Revolution by specifying default scrolling modes for applications, assigning custom actions to mouse buttons, and tuning mouse behavior to match your individual work style. After installing the software, use the SetPoint™ control panel to select options and assign features. Open the control panel by clicking the Logitech® logo that appears in your taskbar or on your desktop

Switching Between Scrolling Modes
MX Revolution’s unique MicroGear Scroll Wheel gives you a choice of two scrolling modes: hyper-fast and precision ratcheting. For hyper-fast scrolling, the high-precision, the frictionless wheel spins freely – great for speeding through long documents and Web pages. For precision, ratchets engage to give you crisp, click-to-click rotation—perfect for navigating lists, slides, and image collections.
Click the scroll wheel to shift between modes or activate Logitech® SmartShift mode within SetPoint.
Quick-Flipping Through Documents
Click the thumb wheel to bring up a window listing all currently active application windows. Rotate the wheel to select an application window and click the thumb wheel again to activate the selected document. (You must install SetPoint to enable Quick-Flipping.)
Fingertip Search
Perform instant searches on any word or phrase. Highlight text in a document or Web page and press the Search button to instantly view results from your favorite search engine. (You must install SetPoint to enable Fingertip Search.)
Note: Pressing the Search button for the first time brings up a settings window you can use to specify a search engine and choose other options.
Troubleshooting
Mouse Not Working.
- Check to see if the mouse has been turned on.
- Check the Micro Receiver connection; try inserting Micro Receiver into another USB port on your computer.
- You may need to charge the mouse. When all the LED lights are green, the mouse is fully charged. (When an LED light turns red, return your mouse to the station for recharging.)
