QSFP-DD Active Optical Cable
Product Information
The SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD, and OSFP Active Optical Cable Assemblies are a part of TE Connectivity’s active optical cable assembly portfolio. These assemblies are designed to provide improved cable flexibility and longer reach as compared to traditional passive copper solutions and emerging active copper solutions. They are ideal for high-performance computing, data center, and networking interconnect applications.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD, or OSFP Active Optical Cable Assemblies, ensure that the device is compatible with your equipment. Follow the steps below to use the product:
- Connect one end of the cable assembly to the SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD or OSFP port of your equipment.
- Connect the other end of the cable assembly to the corresponding port on the target device.
- Power on your equipment and target device.
- The cable assembly will establish a connection between your equipment and target device.
When disconnecting the cable assembly, ensure that you follow the proper procedures to avoid damage to your equipment or the cable assembly. To disconnect the cable assembly, follow these steps:
- Power off your equipment and target device.
- Disconnect one end of the cable assembly from the SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD or OSFP port of your equipment.
- Disconnect the other end of the cable assembly from the corresponding port on the target device.
Store the cable assembly in a cool and dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity to ensure its longevity.
