Product Information
The Drop Hitch and Torsion Hitch are towing accessories that are protected by patents US9505281B1, USD773345S1, and USD9868327B1. The product has a bolt specification of 1/2 – 20 x 1 UNF Grade 8 Bolts with a torque specification of 110 ft. It has an average break-in period of 500 miles. The product is not recommended to be used in the rise position. GEN-Y Hitch shall not be held responsible for any or all compatible parts or products being used or being utilized for towing with or around GEN-Y Hitch. GEN-Y Hitch products shall never be altered in any circumstances or for any reason and will void any warranties if done so.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the towing vehicle is parked on a level surface.
- Insert the Drop Hitch or Torsion Hitch into the receiver tube of the towing vehicle.
- Secure the hitch into the receiver tube using the appropriate hitch pin and clip.
- Insert a towing ball into the hole provided on the hitch.
- Using the appropriate Grade 8 bolts, secure the ball to the hitch.
- Torque the bolts to 110 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
- Ensure that the ball is level with the ground and adjust if necessary.
- Attach the trailer to the towing vehicle using the appropriate safety chains and electrical connections.
- Test the connection by driving slowly in a safe area to ensure that everything is secure and functioning properly.
It is important to note that the Drop Hitch and Torsion Hitch should never be altered in any circumstances or for any reason as it will void any warranties. Additionally, it is not recommended to use the product in the rise position.
