Product Usage
- Installation of the Fifth Wheel King Pin is simple. To install, simply use the same amount of bolts you removed to replace the pin box. Make sure that the top of the kingpin is at .250 to the plate, tube, and gussets. There should be a minimum of 4 mounting bolts per side and the gussets with etched lines in the FW plate should be aligned with the tube etch. Torque the mounting bolts to 160 ft. lbs. using 5/8 x 1 1/2 grade 8 bolts & nuts.
- The Pin Weight Scale provides information on the maximum and minimum pin weight. It is important to note that there is an average break-in period of 1,000 miles.
