Product Information: Silentwatch 4 Lite

The Silentwatch 4 Lite is a smartwatch that comes with a touch screen, three buttons, and various sensors. It is compatible with Android 5.1+ and iOS 9.0+ devices that have Bluetooth 5.0+. The watch can be paired with the Da Fit app to access its features and settings.

Product Usage Instructions

Lodging and Turning On
  1. Before using the watch for the first time, charge it completely using the charging cable provided. Always charge for a maximum of 2 hours and do not use the watch while charging.
  2. If the watch screen doesn’t turn on automatically, gently press button 2 and hold it for at least 3 seconds.
Pairing with a Phone
  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone (make sure it is discoverable for all devices in the area) and GPS.
  2. Download and install the Da Fit app from Google Play/App Store using the QR code provided or by searching for it.
  3. Open the app and create an account (optional).
  4. In the app, click on the watch icon at the bottom center and then select “Add Device.”
  5. Select your device from the list that appears.
  6. Once paired, set up the required watch functions in the app.
Setting Language
  1. In the Da Fit app, click on “More” and allow access to the camera (if asked).
  2. Select “Watch Face” and then “Language.”
  3. Select your preferred language from the list.
Using the Watch
  • The watch has a touch screen and three buttons that can be used to navigate through its features and settings.
  • To change the watch face, click on “Watch Face” in the Da Fit app and select a new design.
  • To add a custom watch face, click on “Customize” and follow the instructions provided.
  • To receive notifications on the watch, enable the function in the Da Fit app under “More” and then “Notifications.”
  • To turn on the watch screen by twisting your wrist, enable the function in the Da Fit app under “More” and then “Wrist Turn On.”
Important Notes
  • Always charge the watch for a maximum of 2 hours and do not use it while charging.
  • Pair the watch with your phone only through the Da Fit app, not directly through Bluetooth settings.
  • Make sure your phone has Bluetooth 5.0+ and is compatible with the Da Fit app.
  • Read the user manual carefully before using the product to avoid any damage caused by improper use.

Charging / Power On

  1. The watch must be fully charged before first use. Use the charging cable supplied with the watch. Always charge for at least 2 hours and do not move the watch while it is being charged.
  2. Connect the charging cable to the USB port of your notebook (it must be plugged in) or conventional mobile phone adapters (5 V) and attach the magnetic connectors at the opposite end of the cable to the charging contacts. No contact must occur between the magnetic pins of the charging cable with the band or metal parts. Charging cable short-circuit or band damage may occur. Always charge the watch with the band unfastened.
  3. If the display does not come on on its own, press and hold the button 2 for at least 3 seconds.

Pairing the watch with a mobile phone

Watch settings and the current time and date and their proper operation require that the watch be paired with a mobile phone via the Da Fit app. Do not connect the watch to your mobile phone via your phone’s Bluetooth; always use the app. You can download the app using the QR code or look it up in Google Play or the App Store.

  1. Upon installation, we recommend that you allow all authorisations that you will be asked for, including the running of the app in the background.

  2. Depending on your mobile phone model, we also recommend checking setting authorisations in the app management in your phone, especially location tracking.

  3. Before pairing, activate Bluetooth (making sure it is visible for all devices for an unlimited time) and GPS in your phone. Do not pair the watch using the Bluetooth menu of the phone.

  4. Open the Da Fit app. It is recommended that you create an account.

  5. The watch should be as close as possible to the phone during pairing.

  6. Click on the watch icon in the app (bottom middle) and then on “Add device” (Fig. 1).

  7. Select your device from the list of the devices shown (Fig. 2).

  8. Once the devices have been paired, set the watch functions in the app (Fig. 3).

  9. To allow for more precise measurements, we recommend that you fill in your personal profile in the app.

Language settings

In Da Fit on your phone, find the watch tab and click on Others –Language to select the language of your choice.

Buttons

  • Top button 1
    If the display is switched off, press briefly to switch it on. Press briefly to enter the sport menu.

  • Side button 2
    Press and hold to turn the watch on/off.
    Press briefly to activate the display.

  • Bottom button 3
    Press briefly to activate the display or return to the menu. Press and hold to show an overview of watch faces.

Touchscreen

  • Swipe from left to right to show a function menu.
  • Swipe from right to left to show basic stats and selected functions.
  • Swipe from top to bottom to show the quick settings menu.
  • Swipe from bottom to top to display the messages page.
  • Swipe from bottom to top then from top to bottom to switch between functions.
  • A short tap activates the function of your choice.

Watch face change
A long press on the display or the button 3 shows an overview of watch faces to select from by swiping from right to left. Tap on the watch face of your choice to select it.
Other watch faces can be added directly from the app. In the app, tap on “Watch faces” (Fig. 3) and then, at the bottom, on “More watch face” (Fig. 4) and select a new watch face from the gallery. Download it into the overview of watch faces (1–5) (Fig. 5) and then tap on it to upload it into your watch.

The successful setting of the watch face requires that the watch and the mobile phone be charged sufficiently.
In the app, tap on “Watch faces” (Fig. 3) and on “Adjust” next to “Watch face 5” (Fig. 5). Then tap on “Select picture” (Fig. 6) and select the image from your phone you want to save. Crop the image and save it by tapping ✔in the upper right corner. You can change the position of the clock, text colour and menus to be displayed and click on “Save” in the upper right corner (Fig. 6).

The image will be uploaded in the watch and saved onto position 5 (Fig. 5). In the event of an error message during the upload, please charge the phone and the watch and repeat the process.

Messages
Swipe your display (watch face) from bottom to top to display the messages page.
To receive messages and notifications, your watch must be paired with your phone, and the receipt of messages and notifications must be allowed in the Da Fit app – Notifications (Fig. 3). Furthermore, you must allow the app access to messages and notifications in the settings of your phone. (This is typically done during installation.)

Display activation by twisting the wrist
In your phone’s Da Fit app, tap on “Others” (Fig. 3) and activate the function (Fig. 7).

  • Steps
    This function shows the daily count of steps and seven-day statistics.

  • Sleep
    This function monitors your sleep automatically at night, as long as you have your watch on. The sleep data will be displayed the following morning in the app as well as on the watch.

  • Heart rate
    Activate by tapping.
    After switching, wait for the measurement to begin and end.

  • Training
    Tap to display a menu of sporting activities. Swipe from left to right to return to the menu.

Tap to commence the sport mode of your choice. Swipe from right to left or from left to right to display the pause/play or end functions.

  • Blood pressure
    Activate by tapping.
    After switching, wait for the measurement to begin and end.

  • SpO2 – Oxygen levels
    Activate by tapping.
    After switching, wait for the measurement to begin and end.

  • Weather
    In the app, tap on “Others” (Fig. 3) and set and allow the Weather function (Fig. 7). The data in the watch is updated according to the weather data collected by the phone app.

  • Shutter
    Open the Da Fit app and tap on “Shutter” on the phone (Fig. 3). Tap on “Shutter” on the watch to take a photo. The phone must always be paired with the watch for the shutter function to work.

  • Music player
    Tap to enter the music player menu. Tap to play/stop, skip one track forward or backward or to set volume. The audio output is from the phone, which is why the watch must be paired with the phone.

  • Game
    Tap to enter the games menu.
    Young bird – avoid obstacles by tapping.
    2048 – the objective of the game is to connect tiles with the same number which then combine to form a new tile with a number which is double that of the original number and to reach the target of 2048.

Other functions must be set and allowed in the Da Fit app (Fig. 3) depending on the phone model and settings as well as the current version of the watch. These include various notifications (calls, SMS, social media), alarm, remote shutter, do not disturb mode, prolonged sitting reminder, display activation by wrist movement, etc.

Important notifications and recommendations, FAQ

  1. To save the values measured, the current date and time, make sure you synchronise the watch with the app on a daily basis. During the night, the values measured by the watch may reset.
  2. This product is not a medical device. Neither the watch nor the app are intended for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of illnesses and symptoms thereof. The values measured are illustrative and may differ from values measured by certified medical devices as well as because of the method of measurement and tightness of the strap. The sensor on the reverse side of the watch must be in contact with the wrist, and the band must be tight. If the strap is loose and the sensors dirty, the precision of the measurements will be compromised.
  3. In order to ensure correct date and time settings, the watch must be paired with a phone. Then the date and time will be set automatically.
  4. We strongly recommend avoiding contact with water. The watch is not to be used in wet environments, e.g. when bathing, swimming, showering, diving, etc. The watch is not water resistant and water may damage the interior. Attention must also be paid to hot (warm) water, steam, etc., as it may (due to wear and tear of the casing, mechanical damage or microscopic cracks in the seal) seep into the watch and cause damage. Wipe the watch thoroughly if it has come into contact with water. Damage by water or steam is not covered by warranty.
  5. You have stopped receiving incoming calls or SMS notifications: check that the watch is paired with your phone and the notifications are allowed in the app [Notifications (Fig. 3)] and in the settings of your phone, and that the do-not-disturb mode has not been activated in the app. Make sure Bluetooth is on in your phone. Do not pair the watch via the phone’s Bluetooth menu.
  6. The watch cannot be paired with a phone – possible solutions:
    • make sure the watch and phone are charged sufficiently
    • check that your phone has GPS and Bluetooth on and the phone settings allow location tracking for the app
    • place the watch and the phone next to each other
    • check the system updates in your phone
    • uninstall and re-install the app
    • restart your phone andturn the watch off and on again
    • make sure your phone meets the HW/SW criteria (Android 5.1+, iOS 9.0+, Bluetooth 5.0+)
  7. The sensor light is blinking – measurement or data transfer is in progress.
  8. The sensor light blinks even when the watch is not being worn – it is not a flaw.
  9. To ensure the correct function of the watch, it is recommended that it be restarted or reset occasionally and, where available, that firmware be updated in the app. Make sure you always have the most recent version of the app.
  10. Always charge the watch for no more than 2 hours (at no more than 5 V). Improper charging reduces the capacity and useful life of the battery. Battery life depends on the ambient temperature and the number of functions actively running. When active, some functions may reduce battery life to several hours. Over time the capacity of the battery will reduce naturally. If not used, do not leave the watch out of battery for an extended period of time and recharge the battery regularly.
  11. Protect the watch from falls or impact; do not expose it to extreme temperature or direct sunlight. These conditions may cause malfunction, or they can cause irreparable damage. Keep the watch at room temperature if not in use.
  12. The watch has a built-in battery. Do not expose them to flames or extreme temperature due to risk of explosion.
  13. Do not disassemble the watch or its accessories.
  14. Do not use the product in close proximity to explosives and chemicals.
  15. Keep the product out of reach of children. It may feature small parts posing risk of inhalation.
  16. The watch software and the application itself are innovated on a continuous basis. Therefore, the manufacturer reserves the right to amend the instructions and individual functions without prior notice.
  17. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the manufacturer.

Safe disposal
Do not dispose of the product in general waste as it may contain substances harmful to the environment.

Battery removal instructions
The product contains a built-in battery that may contain harmful substances and, as such, should not be disposed of in general municipal waste. You can remove the battery and hand it in for safe disposal.
If you have decided to remove the battery, we recommend that you contact a qualified expert. In any case, let the battery run out completely and then use a knife to remove the display carefully. One by one, cut the wires to the battery and remove battery carefully so as to avoid damage to the battery and electrolyte leakage. Use the proper PPE and follow the applicable occupational health and safety rules to avoid injuries.

Electronic waste
Leave the product at a dedicated electronic waste collection facility where its recycling or safe disposal is ensured. Contact your local municipality for a list of waste collection sites, or you can leave the used product with the seller.
