Welcome

Congratulations on your new iHealth Wireless Scale Lite with Bluetooth” Smart Ready technology. This Scale tracks your weight and BMI and, along with the free companion “iHealth MyVitals” app, can help you stay motivated and reach your weight goals.

Companion Mobile App

Scan the QR code to download the free “iHealth MyVitals” companion app or directly from the Apple App Store or the Google play. Follow the on-screen instructions to register and set up your iHealth ID.

 Access iHealth Cloud

Upon setting up your iHealth ID, you will also have access to a free, secure iHealth cloud account. Go to www.ihealthlabs.com, then click on “Sign ln”to access your cloud account from a PC or Mac using your iHealth ID.

Install the Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale and remove the yellow tab. The batteries should last approximately 3 months if measuring twice a day.

First Time Use

For your first weigh-in, follow these steps to ensure the Scale and the app are connected and that the date and time synchronize correctly.

If you have an iOS device:

1. Enable the 8/uetooth on your mobile device (Settings->8/uetooth->On).

2. Tap the Scale to turn it on.
3. Launch the app to initiate the connection. The 8/uetooth icon on your device will light up and stop flashing when a successful connection is established. You will also see the 8/uetooth icon on your Scale lights up. The Scale is now connected and ready for your weigh-in.

Launch the app

If you have an Android device:

Go to Settings, and turn on the 8/uetooth. You may need to press “Scan” or “Search” to find the Scale.
“iHealth HS4Sxxxx” and “Not Paired ” should appear on the device list momentarily. Select the scale name”iHealth HS4Sxxxx”to pair and connect. If the connection is successful, you will see “Connected” appear on the device screen.

Your Next Weigh-in

Subsequent daily weigh-ins can be taken without being connected to your mobile device, as your weight data is stored in the Scale and uploaded to the app upon your next connection. Real-time weight results are viewable in the app if the Scale is connected to your mobile device and the app is running when your weigh-in occurs.

Software updates

From time to time, the Scale’s firmware will be updated to enhance performance. When a software update is available, a notification message will appear in the app. Complete the following steps to install the update:

  1. Follow steps in the “First-time Use” section.
  2. You will see a notification message in the app asking for permission to proceed. Select “Yes”.
  3. The update will begin to download. You will see a cursor on the scale display moving from left to right. The scale will display “0.0” when the update is complete.

FAQs


Troubleshooting:

The scale displays “Lo”

Batteries low. Please replace all 4 batteries.

The scale displays “Er 10”

Firmware update error. Try connecting to the MyVitals app again and re- updating the firmware.

The scale displays “Er 9”

Possible cause: Scale memory access error.

Solution: Remove the batteries, wait one minute, then reinstall.

The scale displays “Er 4”

Possible cause: Bluetooth connection error.nn

Solution: Reset the Bluetooth connection by removing the batteries and turning back on again.

The scale displays “Er 1”

Possible cause: Maximum weight of 400 lbs has been exceeded.

The scale displays “Er 0”

Possible cause: The Scale failed to initialize.

Solution: Remove the batteries, wait for one minute and then reinstall them.

Why is the iHealth Wireless Scale not turning on?

Check to make sure that all of the batteries are inserted and the polarities (+ and – ) are facing the correct way in the battery the scale.

Setup and Usage:

Is it safe to use the Wireless Scale while pregnant?

Yes. We recommend against standing on the edge of the scale, or using it on a tilted or wet floor. Be sure that the surface of the scale is clean and dry before using. Note that the scale should also not be used by anyone who cannot stand still without assistance.

Can the iHealth Wireless Scale be used without a mobile device?

Yes. The scale can be used without an mobile device after the first connection is established. However it may be necessary to use your mobile device (launch the app) at least once every 200 weigh-ins, as new measurements overwrite older ones stored in the Scale. When the Wi-Fi connection is re-established measurement data will be uploaded to your mobile device.

Within what range does the mobile device have to be from the iHealth

Wireless Scale in order to function properly?

In a normal environment (without high electromagnetic interference), the mobile device can be used within 16.4 feet/5 meters of the scale.

Can the iHealth Wireless Scale be used on any surface?

In order to get the most accurate readings, we recommend placing the scale on a hard, flat surface. The scale may give inaccurate readings on soft surfaces such as carpet.

How should the iHealth Wireless Scale be kept clean?

You may use a soft (non abrasive) damp cloth to clean the glass plate of the scale. (Warning – use of an abrasive cloth can irreversibly damage the scale.)

Can the iHealth Wireless Scale have multiple users?

Yes. Each user has to log in his or her own account when taking measurements.

What type of batteries is needed for the iHealth Wireless Scale?

The iHealth Wireless Scale requires four 1.5V AAA batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for this product.

Is the iHealth Wireless Scale waterproof?

The scale is not waterproof, but it should withstand normal wear. If it gets wet, wipe it with a dry towel. If it gets completely wet or dropped in water, take out the batteries immediately and dry completely.
