PCS Studio Gearhead
Product Information
The PCS Studio Gearhead is a precision camera positioning device designed for use in professional photography. It is compatible with Arca Swiss-style camera plates and supports a maximum weight capacity of 25 kilograms. The gearhead features a range of adjustable controls for tilting, pivoting, and rotating the camera for precise positioning.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before using the PCS Studio Gearhead, read the instruction manual carefully to ensure proper usage.
- To apply the crank (B.), insert the pins (C.) of the crank into the designated holes (D.) of the PCS. Use the M4x10 bolt (A.) and the supplied 2,5mm Allen key to firmly connect the cranks to the PCS through the central hole.
- When unlocking the Arca-compatible clamp, always support the camera and apply no more than 25 kilograms of weight to the PCS.
- To rotate the PCS at the top or bottom, loosen the corresponding locking lever. You can adjust the locking position of the knob by pulling it upwards to move the lever without locking or loosening the screw.
- Use the pivot adjustment crank (D.) to adjust the vertical angle of the camera, and use the tilt adjustment crank (E.) to adjust the horizontal angle of the camera.
- After positioning your camera, lock the corresponding knobs tightly to secure its position.
- The bottom rotation locking knob (G.) can be used to rotate the entire gearhead on its base.
- The bottom tripod mount (3/8) can be used to attach the gearhead to a tripod or other camera support.

The PCS is a heavy duty gearhead designed for the studio environment. It
features geared movements around the X- and Y-axis as well as manual 360º
Z-axis rotation at the top and bottom plate. The large controls express clear
functionality.

Warnings
Always support the camera when unlocking the Arca compatible clamp.

Applying the cranks and choosing the tripod mount thread
To apply the crank [B.] place pins [C.] of the crank inside the designated holes [D.] of the PCS. Use the M4x10 bolt [A.] and the supplied 2,5mm Allen key to firmly connect the cranks to the PCS through the central hole.
Tilting and pivoting
The PCS has two self-locking geared movements, tilt and pivot. To tilt the PCS rotate the bottom crank clockwise for tilting forward and counter clockwise for tilting backward. The maximum tilting movement is 90º forward tilt and 30º backwards tilt. To pivot the PCS rotate the top crank clockwise for pivoting to the left and counter clockwise for pivoting to the right. The maximum pivot movement is 90º left and 45º to the right.
Rotating top and bottom
To rotate the PCS at the top or bottom, loosen the corresponding locking lever. You can adjust the locking position of the knob by pulling it upwards to move the lever without locking or loosening the screw.
