  5. Clean the exterior of the SeaHawk with a wet cloth.
    • Do not use solvents or detergents that could damage the plastic surface
    • Use hot soapy and water to clean brushes and nozzles

If you have been cleaning a dirty or greasy surface, it is recommended that you clean the vacuum hose before shutting down.

  • Clean vacuum hose by activating the vacuum mode and suck water through the hose

After each cleaning, prepare the SeaHawk for its next use, by refilling all water and vacuum tanks.

HELPFUL HINTS

  1. Set steam control to low or medium steam pressure for most cleaning applications. High steam pressure is best utilized for only extreme stains or dirty areas.
  2. Use tap water for quicker heating. You may use distilled water, but the SeaHawk will take longer to heat.
  3. Use steam only when sanitizing a surface area.
  4. Extraction is best used for deep cleaning including floors and upholstery.
Extraction

Your steam vacuum uses a separate reservoir tank to inject water into the steam as it’s released from the extraction nozzle. Use the extraction function in combination with the vacuum for deeper cleaning of soft and hard surfaces.

  • Use the extraction nozzle for cleaning furniture, curtains, mattress, windows, walls, and floors.
  • After cleaning, use the vacuum to remove excess water for faster drying.

    • Remove the vacuum collection tank and empty
  2. Turn the steamer upside down, identifying the boiler cap.
    • Unscrew by turning counter-clockwise and remove
    • Clean the sensor on the boiler cap with a scouring pad removing any encrusted deposits
  3. De-scaling the boiler:
    • Pour de-scaling solution consisting of 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water into the boiler and replace the cap by turning clockwise until tight
  4. Turn the SeaHawk ON for approximately 1 minute, then turn off.
    • Leave de-scaling solution in the boiler for 60 minutes
  5. Empty the de-scaling solution from the boiler by turning over the SeaHawk and removing cap draining the excess de-scaling solution.
  6. Fill boiler with tap water to rinse.
  7. If the rinse water is clear of mineral deposits, then the SeaHawk is ready for use.
    • You may need to re-rinse the boiler if the water is not clear
