ARADA DEVON BK 735 Solid Fuel Kit
The Arada Ltd Solid Fuel Kit is an optional accessory that allows for the use of solid fuel in compatible Arada stoves. This kit includes:
- 1 Ceramic Solid Fuel Liner (Left Hand)
- 1 Ceramic Solid Fuel Liner (Right Hand)
- 1 Solid Fuel Retainer
Please note that the shape of components may vary depending on the model of stove.
Warnings
It is important to follow these warnings and guidelines when installing and using the solid fuel kit:
- Ensure that the appliance is cold and unlit before fitting the accessory kit.
- Refer to the main instruction booklet for guidance on the installation and operation of the appliance when using solid fuel.
- Arada Ltd will not be responsible for any consequential or incidental loss or injury caused.
- This accessory kit can be fitted once the appliance has been installed and connected to the flue system within the property.
- No technical knowledge is required to fit this kit.
Fitting Procedure
Follow these steps to fit the solid fuel kit:
- Ensure that the firebox is cold and all ash has been removed and cleaned from the appliance.
- Open the fire door and carefully remove the original fuel retainer. Keep this safe for future use.
- Take the operating tool and insert the fork end into the location slots within the rear of the grate surround. Lift the grate surround up and withdraw it from the firebox.Remove both of the base liners either side of the revolving grate. Keep these safe for future use if the appliance is returned back to a wood only device.
- Take one of the ceramic solid fuel base liners and place it into the firebox alongside the revolving grate. Ensure the largest side of this liner is against the side liner. Repeat this process for the remaining side.
- Finally, place the solid fuel retainer into position, engaging the two tabs within the front brace of the appliance. The appliance is now set for solid fuel use.
Arada Ltd Rear Heat Shield Kit
The Arada Ltd Rear Heat Shield Kit is an optional accessory that can be fitted to compatible Arada stoves to protect walls and surfaces from heat damage. This kit includes:
- 1 Stainless Steel Heat Shield (Unpainted)
- Heat Shield Mount Brackets (2 for M Series, 1 for Holborn / Ecoburn S3)
Please note that all fixings are factory fitted to the appliance during manufacture.

- Refer to the main instruction booklet for guidance on the installation and operation of the appliance.
- Please consult Health & Safety guidelines for advice on handling heavy and/or large items. When lifting, we recommend obtaining assistance.
Fitting Procedure
To fit the rear heat shield kit:
- Ensure that the appliance is cold and unlit before fitting the accessory kit.
- Attach the heat shield mount brackets to the back of the stove according to the instructions in the main instruction booklet.
- Hang the stainless steel heat shield onto the mount brackets, ensuring that it is securely in place.

been installed and connected to the flue system, within the property.

Fitting Procedure
Before starting this process, please ensure that the firebox is cold and all the ash bed has been removed and cleaned.
Step 1 : Open the fire door & carefully remove the original fuel
retainer. Keep this safe for future use.
Step 2 : Take the operating tool and insert the fork end into the
location slots within the rear of the grate surround. Proceed to lift the
grate surround up and with draw it from the firebox. See figure 1.
Step 3 : Remove both of the base liner either side of the revolving
grate. Again keep these safe for future use in the even that the appliance is
returned back to a wood only device.
Step 4 : Take one of the ceramic solid fuel base liners and place into
the firebox along side the revolving grate. Ensure the largest side of this
liner is against the side liner. See figure 2. Repeat the process for the
remaining side.

Step 5 : Finally place the solid fuel retainer into position, engaging the two tabs within the front brace of the appliance. See figure 3. The appliance is now set for solid fuel use.

gloves to prevent hand injuries.
PLEASE NOTE : Images show Ecoburn S3, however procedure is the same regardless of appliance model.
Fitting Procedure
Before starting this process, please ensure that the stove is cold and unlit
Step 1 : Working on the rear of the appliance, remove the 4x screw, indicated in figure 1.
Step 2 : Take one of the mounting brackets and fix in place using 2no. Of the screws removed in step 1. See figure 2.
- Please note the orientation of the bracket
Step 3 : Repeat step 2 for the remaining mounting bracket.
Step 4 : Take the heat shield and position the mounting slots over the
corresponding lugs on each side mounting bracket. Gently engage the lugs and
push down, to locate the heat shield onto the mounting brackets as shown in
figure 3.
Step 5 : With the heat shield fitted, please observe the revised distance
to combustible materials, as stated in the instruction manual or product fiche
on web site.

Fitting Instructions
Step 1 : Working at the rear of the appliance, locate and remove the 2no.
Fixings as shown below.
Step 2 : Whilst at the rear, locate the base mount rails, as shown below.
Please note, this is not applicable for M-Series stoves.
Step 3: Take the direct air plate and slide the open end into the stove,
resting the base of the plate onto the base mount rails. Slide the plate
forward until the rear fold makes contact with the rear of the appliance.
For the M-Series stoves, ensure the plate is slid forward to make contact with
the rear surface of the stove. The front chamfered corners of the direct air
plate rest upon the self adjusting brackets at the front of the stove body.

Step 4: Secure in place using the M5 screws and M5 washers supplied, as shown above.
