Overview
Front Panel

1 | IR Receiver | Receiver for signals from the IR remote control. |
2 | LED Indicator | Power: When power is on, the LED will continue lighting in |
green.
HDD: When power is on, the LED will continue lighting in red. When
HDD is reading/writing data, the LED will flashes red.
3| USB2.0 Port| USB2.0 port for connecting to a mouse or an external storage
device.

3| Audio Input (5-16)| Connect the supplied D-Sub Cable Harness to this port
for audio input (CH5-16) connection. Note the microphones with a (built-in)
amplifier and external power supplies are required.
4| CVBS| CVBS video output connection.
5| Audio Output| Connects to an audio output device, such as speakers. Note
that the speakers with a (built-in) amplifier and external power supply are
required.
6| Video Input| Connects the AHD/TVI/SD cameras to the Video Input.
7| VGA Port| Connects to a monitor using a VGA cable.
8| Terminal Block| The Terminal Block provides alarm inputs, alarm output and
RS-485 connection (see 3.1 Terminal Block).
9| HDMI Port| Connects to a monitor using a HDMI cable.
10| LAN| Connects to the Network.
11| USB2.0 Port| The USB2.0 port for connecting to a mouse or external storage
device.
12| Power Port| Connects to a 12VDC power source.
13| Power Switch| Press to turn on or off the power.

- Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
a. Use only two AAA dry cell batteries.
b. Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire as it may explode.

Basic Installation
Hard Disk Installation
You can install two 3.5” HDDs inside the DVR for recording videos. The maximum capacity of each HDD is 8TB.
- Make sure the DVR is power-off.
- Unscrew the eight housing screws (4 on the rear panel, 2 on the left and right side each). To remove the housing cover from the DVR, push the cover backward and then lift it.
- Find the SATA cable and power cable inside the DVR, connect the SATA cable to the SATA port on the HDD (left image) and then connect the power cable to the HDD (right image).
- Place the HDDs inside the DVR, screw the HDDs from the bottom side of the DVR using the supplied Screws.
- Screw the housing cover back to the DVR.

It’s recommended to use the hard disk models listed on the table to ensure
your hard disks will be compatible.
Note: If using two or more hard disks, please choose the hard disks with
the same capacity.
Basic Connection
The demonstration below shows the basic connections to the DVR.
Terminal Block
Turning On / Off the Power
Before powering on the DVR, please make sure the internal HDD have been
installed properly.
Once you have completed the basic cable connections, you are ready to turn on
the DVR.
Simply plug in the power source and then press the Power Switch on the rear
panel of the DVR.
The POWER LED will light up if power is normal and the DVR will enter the
System Initialization process.
When the process is done, it’s required to set up a password for the
administrator account immediately in order to protect your privacy.
To turn off the power, click the Shutdown button on the Exit page (OSD menu > Exit > Shutdown) and then press the Power Switch on the rear panel of the DVR.
P2P Function
The P2P function allows users to add DVRs to Ever Focus’ eves App through QR code.
- Install Ever Focus eves App. For Android users, go to Google Play Store. For iOS users, go to Apple Store. After the installation process is complete, start eves App.
- To add a DVR through P2P, tap Menu > Device List, and then tap the “+” button on the upper-right corner.
- Scan the DVR’s QR code on the System Info page of the DVR OSD menu. Input the DVR ID, password and Media Port 8000. Tap the Save button.
- The DVR is now added and connected to the App. You can start accessing the DVR.
