FAQ’s
Can you use a monitor mount on any monitor?
Yes, all monitors can be mounted. The vast majority of monitors today come with a mounting plate on the back, which makes it extremely easy to use popular monitor mounting products. Even older monitors or old CRTs that don’t have this setup can still be mounted.
Can every monitor be mounted on the wall?
Yes, the majority of current monitor models are VESA compliant and allow for easy mounting on the wall or a desk mount. Some brands sell monitors without the standard VESA pattern on the back.
Do all monitors use the same mount?
Yes, most monitors can be mounted on a monitor arm. Monitors come with the standard VESA hole pattern of 75 x 75 mm or 100 x 100 mm on the back of the monitor for attaching to a monitor arm.
How much space does a monitor mount need?
However, if you have a fully-articulating monitor arm and you want to push the arm away from you, you’ll need space behind the desk to accommodate the arm behind the screen—between two to six inches. If you work in a cramped space, you will have less room to move around.
How does a monitor mount work?
A monitor arm is a somewhat robotic-looking arm that attaches to your desk, wall, or ceiling and raises your monitor to your personal ideal height. It adjusts easily according to your working style — whether you stand, sit, or do a mix of both throughout the day.
Do monitor mounts save space?
Unlike the stand that comes with most monitors, a monitor arm provides flexibility to position your screen exactly where you want it for proper ergonomics and comfort. It can also free up space on your desk and help your workspace look neater.

Are monitor wall mounts safe?
As long as the wall mount and the monitor are perfectly attached to each other along the wall, they are completely safe.
How high should monitor stands be?
Ideally, your eyes should be in line with a point on the screen that is about 5-10 cm below the top edge of the monitor. The center of the screen should be around 17-18 degrees below eye level.
